We always enjoy Ascari and last night was no exception. The food is great, we love the wine list and the service was perfect! The only complaint I have is that it’s a bit chilly in the restaurant during the winter months. Other than that it’s always a great dinner out.

It was my boyfriend and I’s first time dining here. I had heard good things and was excited to give it a shot. Beautiful interior, beautiful ambiance, classy but still laid-back. Was a little on the warmer side (I’m usually always freezing) so I definitely recommend dressing light lol. Food was delicious, I’m naturally a pretty picky eater & rarely find restaurants where I like every single thing I try. Byblos was the exception for me, all four dishes I tried were amazing. Good quality ingredients, dishes ran smaller than usual but still priced decently for a higher class restaurant. Served was amazing, so helpful & so attentive. All in all a great experience, looking forward to going back!

Always delivers its best: best food, best service, best ambience. We went there for the octopus. It never fails us: so juicy and tender. Love its fish. Lovely crusted and tasty. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, who has made our dinner enjoyable. Great desserts. Love even just the plating. My friend was amazed by how quiet we were when we were having desserts: no one could take our eyes or spare our mouth away from the desserts. Thank you for a joyful evening.

Service was terrific from our server Mercedes and all the staff that tended to our meal and the endless supply of water. The menu was explained when asked and the food arrived on a timely basis despite the completely full restaurant. We had the lentil soup and followed that with the Mediterranean sea bass and Fattet Mozat lamb shank from the Syrian specialty part of the menu. We loved it all and were stuffed from the big plates of food. The price was fair given everything above and I would encourage everybody visiting Montreal to go - but get your reservation in months ahead.

Super cozy atmosphere. You can watch the chefs doing their magic in the galley as you wait for your meal. We were there for happy hour and the selection was great and filling. Food and drinks were delicious and the staff were attentive. Will definitely go back.

Food was superb. Unfortunately my lobster pasta dish was served pretty close to room temperature and they hadn’t warmed the bowl it was served in. The wines are expensive but I ordered one of the least expensive from the south of France and it was good. We would return😊

One of my top restos in the city. The food is creatively prepared with always a surprising taste element. And, for sure the lamb chops are the best I have ever had. The service is attentive and very knowledgeable (great job Raki). The ambience is lively without being too loud. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but, it is worth every penny.

We love Masaki! It is quiet, service is wonderful and the food is fantastic. So happy they have expanded the dining room to accommodate walk-ins (although we always reserve). The Tempura Udon is always so generous and flavorful! This time we tried the house specialty sushi: Blushing Salmon roll with raspberry sauce. One word- wow! A subtle taste explosion. Beef and pork gyoza is also a go-to. So tender with a fresh ginger tang. Many thanks to Shiho for friendly service. We feel so comfortable here.

Traveling thru Calgary on our way home from vacation and found this restaurant highly rated online. Our family (two children 10 yo and 13 yo and two adults) had a great meal and received amazing service. Pizza was excellent and beer selection was brilliant. Our party of 4 had a wonderful experience at Sabor. Our server was amazing and recommended wonderful wines and menu items. We had the shrimp garlic prawns to start, the seafood platter, ribeye, and three boars. Everything was amazing. We were stuffed and had to take some home. An overall wonderful dining experience and we will be back.

Amazing experience! Atmosphere was relaxed, cozy and inviting. Our waiter, Chris, was very helpful, knowledgeable…he set the stage for a nice night…we did not feel rushed…the restaurant was busy, but the noise level was low. The food was incredible…from the leek soup, to the charcuterie, to the fish and chips and the Cornish hen…all the dishes were incredibly favourable. 10/10!

Chef Masahiro Omori is the Executive Chef / Co-owner of Yuwa Japanese Cuisine who was born and raised in Chiba, Japan. His grandmother "YUWA" passionately owned a fish market in Chiba, Japan for over 50 years. Yuwa's dedication to her craft deeply touched Chef Omori and he lovingly brings her spirit forward with his professional experience at a well-known long-established Kaiseki restaurant in Tokyo, Japan.

Chef Masahiro Omori brings specialized regional dishes from across Japan taking advantage of the highest quality, freshest local BC ingredients. These can all be paired with our specialized selection of wines and sake.

A wonderful meal, every dish was excellent. It was beautifully presented and the quality of the ingredients was allowed to shine. We enjoyed the Masumi Aka Yamahai Junmai Ginjo sake with our dinner We had wonderful pickles to start, the matsutake tempura was a seasonal treat, the kale goma-ae was the best I've tasted, the sable fish was delicate and perfectly prepared, the red wine miso stew had a delicious umami sauce and we finished off with a spectacular Kabocha cheesecake for dessert. It was comfortable seating and the music was soft. the perfect ambiance for a relaxing dinner and quiet conversation.
