This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is exquisite - Chef Dana is simply magic. Care and attention to detail is seen throughout each and every course. Flavor and texture combinations elevate all of the offerings. We had squash blossoms (best ever), shrimp rolls, heirloom tomato and burrata salad (sublime) plus fresh king salmon and beef filets.

I am a local but I'd heard Santee did a nice dinner so a friend and I decide to try it. We sat outside, the outside area is next to the pool so a bit loud with the gate opening and closing quite a bit. Next time we will sit inside .. the tables are nicely spaced and it has an inviting atmosphere. The menu is limited but everything sounded good. We started with a salad special .. green beans with smoked trout, slivered almonds and a really nice citrus dressing. Super yum. We both got the pork chops. Mine was cooked perfectly, it was served sliced thin over a bed of polenta that is flavored with mustard. We had panna cotta for desert. The meal was excellent, the service was excellent as well. As a local I'm pretty used to pricey meals, I'd rate the meal here a value for your money and I do plan to go back again.

If you’re looking for a venue for a group breakfast on a weekday, consider Murray Circle. Family get-together for breakfast on a sunny, summer day. We sat outside so ambience and views were great. (They have replaced the former porch seating with tables/chairs. Much better!) Food was plated nicely and tasty; everyone happy with their choices. Service was attentive. Since it was a weekday, ample free parking and no wait to be seated. Perfect! Will return soon.

Unbelievable. I went to Nightbird with a friend who is herself a very accomplished cook interested in food. Her (more sophisticated) opinion mirrored mine: an outstanding meal filled with creative tastes and exquisite presentations. Knowledgeable wine recommendations. A lovely setting not crowded at all. Obviously not cheap, but worth the money. A very, very special evening.

Service was a little slow all round. We all ordered the trout which was well cooked but lacked seasoning. Another side of vegetables would have improved the dish and would have gained another star for value. Comfortable seating, we asked for a quiet table and got it.
