Food is amazing - as always! Christina and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. Of course we plan to return as often as we can and have only two recommendations. Although the music is always good, the volume makes conversation a bit difficult and almost impossible if someone has difficulty hearing to begin with. Also, although still good, the tres leches needed mas leche, por favor. ;)

Wonderful dinner. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert all creative and delicious. Wait staff very helpful advising on menu. We were dining with friends and wanted to visit. The meal was well paced to accommodate our needs. Outstanding food and service.

The food is always a wonderful gastronomic surprise with excellent service! Only negatives are noise level - needs better sound insulation and better lighting - very dark( needed candles at least ).

Having dined at Libertad for many years, I still love it- from the welcoming and delicious small cup of pureed soup to the many "small" (but filling!) plates to the desserts, cocktails and wines. The changing menu makes each visit an adventure, and I'm always happy to see a few old favorites, like the stuffed poblano. My only reservation about our recent meal was that the poblano wasn't fried and crispy like it used to be, though the dish is still excellent. The kale salad, which might not sound exciting to some, was delicious, topped with manchego cheese and a sherry dressing. The skirt steak was heavenly, and so was the chocolate bread pudding we shared for dessert. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the person serving really you knows the menu and can make good recommendations.

Great food and efficient service. We were seated in the outdoor covered deck area. Ventilation could be improved, as it was either too cold or too hot. Also felt very enclosed as tables were so close together. But overall, very good.

FABULOUS restaurant. Our new favorite place to dine - 50 minutes away but so worth it. Plan ahead and make a reservation. The best food, the best staff (kind, nice and very accommodating). We asked to switch tables and no problem at all. Everything here is great! Small restaurant in Skokie.

The place is small so you will need reservations even on weekdays but that goes to show that they’re always busy cause the food and service doesn’t disappoint! A bit on the pricey side but great for a special occasion or date night!

I had the most amazing time. My first time there for my anniversary. Surprisingly they brought us champagne that was very thoughtful. The drinks were fancy and amazing. I will go again beautiful staff great food.

The lighting was almost non-existent. People had more light from the streetlights shining in the windows. The music was almost painfully loud. The ventilation system was not working. Our coats still smell like the grill smoke today. All of this diminished the experience. The food was delicious. It would have been nice to be able to see the care taken with the presentations.

Wow! What an amazing meal! My husband and I dined at Libertad last night and can’t stop talking about how wonderful the food, drinks and service was. We had the poblano, scallops, sea bass, potatoes and chocolate bread pudding and every bite was perfection. The food was fresh with unique flavors. Our waiter, Miguel was exceptional in his recommendations and service. Can’t wait to go back. A gem not typically found in the burbs. Not cheap but we’ll worth it! Go, you won’t be sorry!!!

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. We have gone there four times in recent weeks and the food was outstanding every time. Their brunch items are creative and absolutely delicious. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. It is a small space, so would recommend reservations for busy periods. The outdoor garden area is tented and heated for winter service. A sweater should be enough to accommodate for the short spans when the heat is off. Bravo Libertad.

Ordered the Lobster tostada and I have to say, it was great but I wish there was more than one of them for the price or if it came with a side of potatoes or bacon. I was a little bummed about the price with the amount of food we got. Otherwise everything else was amazing.

Please bring back the old school calabaza (rissoto mushroom) also the new fold of the hummus is hard to cut and share. Rolled up was better to cut n share. Libertad is a local favorite !
