   The host looked about 15. It wasn’t what I expected from an establishment like this. We were expecting someone older and more hip. We were seated upstairs and crammed next to another couple. For some reason the seats are back to back, instead of one person with the back to the wall and the other with their back to the room. Not only was it uncomfortable, it was very loud ip there. There were a bunch of drunk women in their 50’s screaming their heads off. Seating downstairs was simile and the tables are set up in a ver haphazard way. Drinks were delicious and the cheese plate was decent. We ordered beer hummus and it did not have much flavor. The tuna tartare was great and the calamari good. We also orders the scallops but there was waaaay too much going on on that plate including overcooked bacon and some kind of cheese grits. The decor on the walls is a bizarre mix of photographs and random baskets and cheesy sayings on the wall. The lights strung up on the ceiling cheapen the whole vibe. It’s just an average place, but it could be special if it wanted to be.

   The food at Level Small Plates was terrific. We had the salmon, lake trout salad, crab flatbread and the ribs. All were delicious but the lake trout salad was #1. The noise level was high, but not a problem for us. As most places are today, short staffed and service was slow. Would recommend!

   Our server was attentive and helpful and the food was great! We were there at a time that wasn't too busy, so it wasn't overly loud, although the proximity to the street meant that there was a bunch of road noise at times. Overall, a great spot for a date!

   My sister and I took our parents out to dinner for Valentine’s Day. The food was amazing. Our server Cheyenne was one of the best waiters we’ve ever had. She was so accommodating and always had a smile on her face. Give that girl a raise!

    Our server was excellent! Arrived early and had some cocktails at the bar- loved watching the magic that goes into creation. Seated ahead of schedule, sampled a few more cocktails and quite a few dishes (app, entree and dessert) and everything was fabulous! Our server was wonderful as well.

    The food was outstanding. Best fresh fried calamari ever..both sauces were yummy’. Shrimp and grits…Was like a party in your mouth. I will be back…soon. Server was excellent as well and each item, we ordered 5, came out in perfect timing. Thank you for a memorable dinner.

    Old fashion wasn’t made right, Brussels sprouts were burnt, ribs tough and dry (sent back), had to wait for ice tea to brew then brought unsweetened. Staff was overwhelmed and food was disappointing. Great concept but the place needs management. I don’t send food back I normally just won’t go back. I wasn’t willing to pay for the rib plate. Recommended by a friend and he was shocked but very disappointed

    This was our first time here and we will be back. The menu was creative and the small plates are easily shared. We had 4 plates for 2 people and a nice bottle of wine. The Brussel Sprouts were the best I ever had. Thank you Carly for serving us so well.

    Great as always - we had the fries, tuna tartare, roasted squash, and the short rib pasta. We followed it up with the banana bread pudding and brownie. Cocktails were excellent as well. I highly recommend Level to anyone looking for a great Tapas dinner.

    Cute place, good cocktails. Service was spotty, but I think she was just overwhelmed, food was a bit bland. If you’re going to underseason everything then please give us s&p & hot sauce on the table. I’d probably return to have a drink/snack at the bar but not for a full dinner.

    Wonderful drinks and small plates. Great place for a date night or a night out with friends. You can sample a lot of the menu with the portion sizes. Service is quick!

    We typically like this restaurant. Have not been in several months. The service was fair. The waitress brought our bottle wine to the table already opened didn’t pour it or have us taste. Same with second bottle. The calamari was chewy and it’s usually one of our favorite dishes. We ordered about 8 tapas. About 2 or 3 of those were good The waitress also brought the desert before the last tapa?!? Don’t think we will go back any time soon. 😩

    Had an excellent birthday celebration with my daughter at Level on 1/11/2023. We tasted many of the small plates -- all delish! -- and cocktails -- all very creative!! We had amazing service from Jenna, who was attentive and quick with a recommendation. On the evening of our visit, there was a private party on the first floor, and we were seated on the 2nd floor. Unfortunately, it was chilly on the first floor I think, because the heat was cranked in an effort to make the party comfortable -- and all the heat was coming upstairs. So we were a bit OVERLY warm upstairs. The portions for the price are a fair, but not great, value. However, everything was tasty and it is an experience I would repeat for a special occasion!

    We went for my husband’s birthday. Service and food were great. My son is vegan, and I was a little disappointed at the lack of offerings. He had the hummus and some squash, and he was happy, but the menu on Open Table included a vegan paella that wasn’t available.

    This was our second time eating here and I felt it was better than the first and the first was fantastic!!! We had so much food. I love the ribs and the potato salad and butcher steak. My favorite dessert was the banana pudding. Also starting with combination charcuterie board was perfect. My son love the smoked trout salad and pork belly. We had so much more and, it was all wonderful!!!!

    We had a good time eating at this tapas place. My only advice is not to double up on any particular plate, until you have tried them all. We particularly liked the beet hummus, but were unimpressed with the calamari, neither of which we expected from the outset.

    The apps were great. Only two of our table of four received main meals on time. Actually, 30 minutes after our table mates. No apologies or acknowledgment of the terrible fail. Left hungry and disappointed on Christmas Eve. Do Better and train your staff to acknowledge problems. We appreciate the hard work of your staff, but this is unacceptable for the price. I doubt we will be back.

    Amazing dinner at Level. Three of us shared a few small plates and each one was outstanding. The scallop dish was superb. We ended our meal with the chocolate chip cookie dessert which was also amazing and left there feeling very full as we headed a few doors down to Rams Head for a show. We can’t wait to go to Level again for dinner.
