   Just lovely, as always. Service was professional, friendly and accommodating and the food delicious. The risotto with lobster and English peas appetizer was fabulous. For mains two us had halibut, which was very nice, and one had scallops that were velvety and very tasty.

   We went to Lemaire for lunch and food was amazing! I was expecting the meal to be a lot more expensive than it was because it was at the Jefferson Hotel but it was actually very reasonable. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We will be going back again.

   We always love going to Lemaire! The food is outstanding, the service is unfailingly excellent - and so very considerate. We are still Covid cautious and they went out of their way to be accommodating. And it is quiet!! It's possible to have a conversation without straining. We do go early - 5 pm for dinner - and I'm sure it gets somewhat noisier when it's more crowded, but the background music is fairly low and their are carpets and drapes, so sound gets absorbed. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Richmond.

    We had an exceptional dining and service experience at the Jefferson. Service was professional and attentive but we did not feel rushed. Original cocktails were tasty and neither weak nor overly boozy. The appetizers (mushroom bisque and pea risotto) were excellent with bright flavors. The scallop entree was tender and accompanying vegetables complemented it. Butterscotch creme brulee for dessert was tasty and had a nice crust. Price was consistent with a meal of this quality.

    Did not start off well. I asked the young lady at the front desk where the bathroom was. She pointed and said under the exit sign. Following her instructions I found a sign indicating that the room was not available. Thankfully a second person saw my issue and quickly helped me find another rest room. This was unusual for the staff. The rest of the evening was outstanding. Our waiter was extremely attentive and added to our experience. We have frequented the Jefferson for years and will not let the earlier experience keep us from coming back. Perhaps the young lady was new to her position.

    We celebrated our anniversary at Lemaire and enjoyed great food and service. The menus were personalized with happy anniversary. We sat at a lovely table in a room were other guests were also celebrating anniversaries

    We go every year to celebrate our anniversary. Everything about Lemaire is elegant and the food is perfection. The staff couldn’t be nicer. They make us feel like we are the only couple they are serving. Thank you for always making our time at Lemaire most special!

    The food portion is small. The scallop entree came with 3 scallops and 3 "slices" of potatoes. The potatoes equaled approx. 1/3 of a potato. The pasta dish, chicken dish and burger were all portioned accordingly. Had to order fries for the table after dinner due to still feeling hungry. Overall, I will still recommend Lemaire to friends and family, hopefully, the small portion size is due to the new menu and will not remain for long.

    I love going back to Lemaire for sentimental reasons and the food execution has always been on point. I’ve come to expect the best as I’m used to the highest standards set by the restaurant and what I’ve come to expect. Last visit though was disappointing. Lows: My main course was cooked to my liking (med -pink center) but ate very dry. The salad on the side seemed like an afterthought and the tartness of the vinaigrette dressing did not compliment the rest of the dish. Sub par prep and execution - not Lemaire quality. Also the service seemed rushed. Our waiter while friendly seemed too busy to engage in conversation as we asked about the menu and specific details of the menu. Quote “I’m really busy but let me give you the quick take”. The pecan sandies accompanying her crème brûlée dessert were exceptionally dry. Highs: Pea risotto was beautifully executed. What a stunner! The wine selection was excellent and the Rosé recommendation was on point. Also appreciated the history and description provided by the sommelier. Best part of our dinner. Overall we will most certainly be doing there again. Hoping their standards stay as high as the expectations they have set.

    Lovely meal, friendly and efficient service, though server wasn't aware of what a few terms on the menu meant. Food was excellent, and it was overall a very nice meal. Scallops and Salmon were outstanding, as were the creme brulee and the fruit tart.

    Twice yearly we pass through Richmond and make a point to stay at The Jefferson Hotel, have a drink at the bar and enjoy dinner at Lemaire. Once again, all was outstanding. The ambience is old American south elegance, and the service everywhere is attentive and gracious. Bar drinks are very fairly priced and arrive with marinated olives and smoked peanuts. Thank you, Reggie. Dinner to follow was great. My wife thought the fennel scented broth with her mussels was the best mussel prep she ever had. Fried oysters were great. Their stacked up Barnyard Burger makes quite an entree. Deshaun was our knowledgeable and friendly server. We look forward to our next trip there in the fall.

    Took my husband for a birthday brunch, they made it spectacular with his name on the menu saying happy birthday and the same for his desert with a candle. All the little details were so thoughtful and magnificent. Can’t say enough how every visit is always amazing. Excellent staff and amazing chefs. Highly recommend.

    First and foremost, if calling in the reservation, ask to sit at Jacquie’s table. She is a hoot and a fine server. We both had the duck special and an excellent Sancerre and loved them. I have not had coconut ice cream this good since Seattle. A must for those who love fine dining and bygone atmosphere!

    This was our anniversary celebration and Lemaire was a nice treat. We ordered cocktails, appetizers, mains, and dessert. Everything was really worth ordering. Our waiter recommended an appetizer that was outstanding. We made unique dinner choices which were well worth trying. A shared dessert was light, fresh and gone quickly. Overall Lemaire was a great choice for our celebration.
