One of the best restaurants I've been to in a city with a surplus of great restaurants. Portions are more than generous so you'll never leave wanting and the quality is fantastic. Highly recommended.

10/10 - great service, great food. 1/2 price wine bottles on Mondays! We got the salt cod croquettes, mussels, beet salad, steak frites manion style and maple crème brûlée. All were outstanding. 🤩

Le Bouchon is one of the very best French restaurants in Chicago. The food is consistently outstanding - on the visit the venison tartare, trout in puff pastry and gnocchi with chanterelles stood out. Save room for their delicious desserts.

Very busy (full house), which affected service very slightly (vs. previous experiences), not quite as sharp/prompt. Food always is excellent and authentic French fare, and was quite good (as usual) with one dish not as flavorful as expected (with boar and duck in it) and another with a sauce a bit salt-heavy (not usual at Le Bouchon). These are small things, some might say nit picks, but there it is. A creative Caesar salad with Brussels sprouts leaves was excellent, as was a nightly special, pig trotter (a meaty and boneless slice of a trotter, not the whole thing) in a delicious port and red wine sauce, served with lentils. Very nice wine, a Jean-Claude Lapalu "La Croix des Rameaux" Brouilly, for $78.

As usual, everything was wonderful. Sitting at the bar for lunch is a great experience. The two exceptional members of the staff were accommodating and friendly. The special was a parmesan soup with pepitas and lardons. Their rotating Beaujolais by the glass was perfect with it.

This was our second time at Le Bouchon and it was just as good on the second go. The French onion soup, rabbit pot pie, and chocolate mousse were the biggest wins for us. It’s a cute spot and we’ll definitely be back but the service could use some work. A few things: we felt rushed (mains were coming out when we were in the middle of appetizers, asking if we were done when we were clearly still eating), we started piling dishes to clear space and they weren’t taken away for a while, and it was unclear who our server was (there were three different servers who stopped by our table throughout the evening). The biggest issues were the first two. The tables are quite small so having to play Tetris to be able to move things around to share food was frustrating. All that to say, for the price point I would have expected better service. The food really is fantastic, though, so I’m sure we’ll be back next year. TL;DR: Food is excellent, ambiance is great, but service was subpar (we felt rushed, the table got crowded with plates), especially for the price point. Will still be going back, but probably only once a year.

This was my friend and my second time coming here. Both time we had the mussels because they are outstanding! The best I’ve ever had, the sauce is so delicious that I kept sopping it up with bread and French fries - only thing I can complain about is the noise level. Good thing we came here early when they opened at 11:30 so we could talk, later I found myself yelling to my friend so she could hear me. We had to skip dessert

Yesterday my sister needed a nice diversion so we had a long leisurely lunch there. I said more than once that "if this was my last meal on earth I would die happy". It is so authentic and good that you truly can almost believe that you are in Paris!

My party of four enjoyed an amazing dinner with the most friendly waitstaff! I don't know the woman's name but she was simply great! It was my birthday and everyone made me feel very special. All of the recommendations were spot on AND while they do not carry non alcohol beer they do allow diners to bring their own non alcohol beer and there is no corkage fee! You can buy it across the street! I hope to come to LeBouchon every month, it is a special place and the drinks are great tooi.

Even if you aren't accustomed to French food, you'll find comfort. You can taste the love and the environment feels like a holiday gathering. Can't imagine anyone ever regretting eating here for any reason.

Our meal was quite unpleasant due to the position of the table we were placed at. The wait people were constantly bumping into us to get around us. They carried trays of glassware above our heads to get around us to a counter. On top of that two of us ordered French onion soup which came to us burned on the top!
