Took myself on a little solo lunch date at Le Bouchon in Bucktown. It’s the tiniest little French bistro with the coziest vibes. I got the steak frites (obviously) and it was so delicious! Every single thing we had made me contemplate the meaning of life. The ocean fish in puff pastry might be one of the best bites we’ve ever had. Every single item that hit our table was perfectly balanced and perfectly cooked. Fully understand why they were so packed on a Tuesday night.

Extremely charming and fun French bistro. The food is exceptional, with a great regular menu and fun seasonal features. Excellent wine list guided by attentive and welcoming staff. Looking forward to my next visit!

We first visited Le Bouchon in 2018, this was first introduction to Bucktown. In 2019, we bought a condo in the neighborhood. Since then, we’ve been annual visitors. We’re moving to Scottsdale later this month. We came here this afternoon for One Last Dance.

This is a forever favorite place. My favorite French cuisine. I felt lucky to find two open seats at the bar which was perfect in every way - the food, the ambiance and Mark the bartender is always 100% on his game.
