TidesTAVERNSINCE 1973The building that today houses the Tides Tavern was built by Axel Uddenberg in 1910 and served the area as a general store. Located next to the “Peoples’ Dock,” the town’s only public ferry landing, it was called the West Side Mercantile. From that time until the present it has had a series of owners and has been several businesses.Run down and in a state of disrepair, the building was bought by Peter Stanley in 1973. After an extensive renovation, the Tides opened its doors to the public on Saturday, June 2, 1973. The Tides has remained in the Stanley family for over 45 years and is now owned by Peter’s eldest son, Dylan.The Tides Tavern offers the greatest house-made food and the finest beverages in the western hemisphere, but only to persons over 21 years of age. Please be prepared to show I.D.

    The food was incredible and our waitress was amazing..The only thing I would say is that the couple dozen or so people in the restaurant I’ll head to wear coats because it was very chilly! Other than that, it was fabulous! Leslie and Ed Owen

    Stayed at the Silver Cloud hotel as part of our anniversary celebration, Brunch was at Copper and Salt. We were immediately seated. Our server (Lynn) was great. Fast and attentive. Food service was also quick and delicious. This was our second visit here and it won't be the last. Also, the view of the sound from the restaurant is great!

    Every visit at Brix25 is brilliant. We love the menu and while most of our favorites are always available, it’s great to try the seasonal changes. We love Tay and her entire team and the way they always make us feel welcomed and special.
