IMAGINE A WORLD WHERE THERE ARE NOW FOUR VENUES WITH ‘KITCHEN’ IN THEIR NAME AND SOMEHOW YOU HAVE TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THEM ALL….To be perfectly honest, it does get bloody confusing from time to time, and I’m the guy who owns them, so I can only imagine what it’s like for the average punter out there…Anyhow, I digress, so on with the shpiel…The Kitchen Sorrento, will be popping up for summer, within the walls of the Sorrento Portsea RSL, serving up good, honest pub food, at good, honest prices ($25 meals in this day and age? I mean c’mon!)Think our famous parma, our burgers, our curry, our fish and chips, and all our other down-to-earth favourites. We’ll be hitting the ground running from the 14th of December, four nights a week to begin, but it will only be a matter of time until we’re operating at full steam across seven days. If all goes to plan this year, we’ll be pulling out the feather quill and signing a nice long lease for many year

The story of St Andrews Beach Brewery dates back to the early 2000’s, when our Co-founder Andrew Purchase built the racetrack on the property for the royal family of Australian horse racing – the Freedman Brothers. When the property became available in 2015, Andrew and Michael Freedman saw an opportunity that was too good to miss. With the infrastructure in place and with a story like no other, Andrew, Michael and their passionate team of co-owners set about turning the former stables into a truly unique brewery. Before you book a stable in our one of a kind refurbished stables, please note the following; Stable bookings can seat groups from 5-20 and for a maximum of 3 hours. If you are unable to book at your preferred time all of our reserved seating is booked. Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse. This cheeky, vibrant and buzzing Vietnamese Fusion venue is one for your to-do list. Boasting a killer menu and a super cool vibe, this place is known for a cocktail, feast or an intimate date night.

Welcome on arrival was friendly, warm and inviting. Background music was at the perfect volume so as not to be overbearing. I found myself quietly humming along as I felt so relaxed! Meals (chicken parma, mushroom garlic pasta, garlic bread and delicious crunchy HOT chips) were surprisingly of generous portions... especially the chips! When they say "large bowl of chips" on their menu they REALLY do mean a LARGE BIWL IF CHIPS! My son and I couldn't fault our meals, they were fantastically tasty! I was treated to a rendition of Happy Birthday by three staff members who surprised me with a complimentary slice of sticky date pudding topped with a candle! The butterscotch sauce was to die for. Bartender was friendly and easy to chat with. He even gave me a complimentary wine to celebrate my birthday. I can't remember when I've had such a lovely birthday as I had at the Kitchen Sorrento. All of this was totally unexpected but I felt very special indeed by the staff's kindness. THANK YOU , I very much appreciate the wonderful care shown to me 😘

I ordered the Eggs Benny that came with pulled pork. Interesting combination. I did not enjoy it at all. The bread was hard to cut, there was way too much pulled pork and just a drizzle of the hollandaise sauce. Disappointing considering it cost $27. I don’t think I’ll be returning.
