    Excellent service, friendly staff. had the special for the night (Salmon) and the table tried 2 chicken dishes as well and several salads. All very good. The owner Ari stopped by our table to check in. Overall a very fun evening and I would highly recommend. Go early as it gets busy with both locals and out of towners.

    Great delicious creative wonderful food coming out of this local Calistoga homey spot. Penne with vodka sauce was yum, as was the 'shroomy rissoto. Good food - happy that I'd made the reservation.

    We had a short time frame to have lunch and we’re so happy that Sam’s had our table ready for us upon arrival and got our food to us quickly. We enjoyed a variety of meals and an appetizer to boot. The atmosphere at Sam’s is one of my favorites, as you can sit outside and yet it feels very private against the hillside. We will definitely return.

    Exceptional experience. Service was outstanding & the food was all well conceived & artfully executed. My one critique would be to expand the white wine offerings beyond Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc & the one Chenin Blanc from Vouvray.
