Il Toscano means “The Tuscan”, and is a perfect representation of everything I am, and all that I love about my home land in Italy.My name’s Matteo – head pasta maker, chef and owner of il Toscano. I was born and raised in the countryside of Tuscany, and although I’ve now lived in Australia for over 9 years, my passion for all things Italian has never been stronger.Nor has my passion for sharing it with Australia and the Central Coast. I felt like I was transported to Italy as soon as I walked in the door. From the traditional decor to the welcoming staff and of course the deliciously authentic menu. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauces were full of flavour - you could tell the ingredients were good quality and they’d been cooked with love. But our favourite part was the service - all the staff were so passionate and seemed to truly care that we had a great experience. We’ll definitely be back :-)

My friends and I recently ate at Meantime - The Entrance and loved the experience. The service was very friendly and the food was great. I was the only Coeliac that can't eat gluten and I was like a kid in a candy store trying to decide what to eat with everything being Gluten Free. I enjoyed my choices and the squid was really good. My gluten eating friends didn't notice the difference and also thought the food was great.
