Waiter was very good. Never hurried us and gave a lot of suggestions. Very polite and conscientious.

Second visit - didn’t disappoint. We were in early, so it was quiet and not as busy as our last visit. My wife had crab cakes (big, flavorful, not a lot of filler). I had the trout - super tasty. Be sure to get the chocolate flourless cake - this is the best dessert we have had (including chocolate in Belgium).

Wonderful food - all of it very good and some of it spectacular. Service was excellent.

This was my first time dining at Black Cow Chophouse, and it was an excellent experience. We were there during happy hour when drinks are discounted and at least one meat entree is, so if you chose, you could get a very delicious meal and beverage for under$30. The menu is varied with delicious sides served family style. Our salads came with our steaks and were excellent as was the fresh bread and butter. The desserts did not disappoint, particularly the cherry crème brûlée. Service here is top notch. The vibe is cool and unpretentious. We did feel slightly rushed to finish so the next seating could begin, but I get that this fabulous restaurant has high demand, as it should. My compliments to the entire staff.

Consistently great. Fresh & delicious. We shared a variety of starters, rolls, sushi platter, drinks and dessert. Staff is pleasant and professional. Easily one of our faves in Charlottesville and on our overall list of favorite sushi restaurants.
