Since 2009 Jackson’s Bar & Oven has been serving seasonal American fare in the heart of Santa Rosa’s historic Railroad Square. Capriciano Osteria is Chef Baki Bekci's Italian kitchen in downtown Santa Rosa. Baki grew up in his family's restaurant on Türkiye's Turquoise Coast, and he cooks Italian food with the same love of the sea and of a full table. Pasta is made by hand, pizzas come out of our wood-fired oven, and fresh seafood is a big part of the menu. Favorites include the calamari fritti, lemon ravioli, risotto ai frutti di mare and slow-braised lamb shank. The wine list is mostly Italian, with Sonoma and Napa bottles alongside, plus Italian and California craft beer (we serve beer and wine only). Sit by one of the fireplaces in the dining room or, in season, out on the terrace. Dinner is served from 5 PM six nights a week, and we're closed on Tuesdays. For birthdays, group dinners or a full-restaurant buyout for up to 89 guests, call us at (707) 800-7904.

    The food and atmosphere were lovely. The only issue I had with the service was when I asked for a box, the employee, not the server, went and got me a box. All well and good but when I am at a fine dinning restaurant, I expect to have the server take my plate and bring back a box with the food in it. It just kind of degrade the experience a little bit. It did not impact the tip. Overall, a wonderful dinner and dinning experience.
