I lovely low key dining experience in an old school atmosphere.

Food was delicious, we had been told that it was complete southern cooking, they were totally right. i had the ribs that were melt in your mouth and fell right off the bone, mash potatoes were super creamy and buttery, the greens were perfect. my grandson had the steak frite, it was perfect fries just right crisp on outside fluffy in the inside steak cooked to his specifications. My daughter had the fried chicken with pecan glaze it was soooo juicy mashed sweet potatoes . Nothing to complaint or critique everything was great!!! So enjoyable service, food, ambiance 100% unfortunately we were unable to have dessert they didnt make creme brule that day, ok I’ll have to lower my rating to a 98%.

First time in Savannah and Vic’s on the River did not disappoint. We had the fried green tomatoes and the crawfish beignets and for main the scallops and salmon fillet. All dishes were delicious and our server was very attentive. Great job overall!!!

We made reservations on OpenTable. In the reservation, we put that it was our anniversary. We were greeted by Sam at the hostess stand. She was super sweet and told us happy anniversary. They put us at the top seating that way we could overlook the restaurant. Our server Mchale was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and funny. We got the gnocchi and bread as an appetizer. They were both phenomenal. The bread was so fluffy the butter to go with it had a great flavor. The sauce for the gnocchi was amazing and creamy. My husband got the salmon and I got the chicken. The chicken was so much food. I wish I could have ate it all. It was so delicious and crispy and it was served over grits. The cocktails were also amazing. I have zero complaints about anything.

The presentation of The Restaurant does not give you insight into the awesome food that they serve. The food is sophisticated and complex. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The quiet nature of the rooftop allowed for wonderfully quiet and intimate conversation. Highly recommended.
