Restaurants near Portola City Park

Typically we go over to Ramsay's Kitchen in Tahoe, but we came here instead and ate two nights in a row. Overall - phenomenal! The food is delicious, thoughtfully portioned, and the service is equally wonderful. We had a later reservation the first night, where we were sat directly next to another table despite it being mostly empty. Not the best, but also we considered this may have been due to having a reservation 30min before they closed up. Despite this, our server was incredible kind and truly made us feel as though we were not a bother to her, or that she was in a hurry. The noise was moderate - between club music being played and outside noises making their way in, it wasn't ideal but also wasn't detracting from the experience. All staff were pleasant, informative, and clearly knowledgeable from how the food is prepared down to wine pairing recommendations! Would recommend dining here!

We love going to the Lodge. We know the staff and they make a point to say hello and chat with us. I had the Bolognese and it was delicious. My husband was jealous. He ordered the chicken, which is always good. Enjoyable evening.

Bar of America never disappoints! Poke Nachos are a MUST! Prime rib is cooked to perfection as usual the Ribeye and Filet Mignon. Service is always great. Nicolas was very attentive, friendly, and knew the menu. A must when in the Tahoe/Truckee area.

We were celebrating my parents’ 90th birthday. The moment was wonderful from the start: the great booth, friendly hostess, delicious food and the outstanding service from Dan! Dan made the whole evening wonderful and even brought desserts for each celebrant! We couldn’t ask for anything more! Come to boomtown to enjoy a great meal and be treated royally!
