Very nice bruschetta good prompt service big good value meals

We had a lovely dinner at Salt and Spencer on Sat night. The service was great, with our servers Josi and Ella doing a great job explaining dishes and making sure we had everything we needed. I have a food intolerance, but the chef was happy to cater for it by amending a few dishes so that I could have some choice on the menu, which was very much appreciated. Food itself was very good, and we both enjoyed our entrees and mains. The only thing that could be improved was the fries; they were a little soggy, lukewarm and pretty tasteless. Other than that small detail, the rest was lovely, and we would recommend this restaurant.

We had a great night! We allowed the waiters to chose for us, just requesting whatever they recommended in small, share plate serves. We got about 8 small plates which was plenty for two. It consisted of meats, cheese curds (my fave!) arancini balls, a terrine, various dips, breads...all delish! Clearly great waiters who know their stuff! Plus wines, cocktails and coffees to go with. All reasonably priced at roughly $70 per head. End to end, the whole service was top notch.
