We had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Walnut Room at Macy’s on State Street for the first time, and it was nothing short of magical! My 8-year-old daughter, 10-year-old son, my father, and I all enjoyed a truly unforgettable experience that felt like a holiday dream come true. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the festive atmosphere. The iconic Christmas tree, standing tall and beautifully adorned, was a showstopper, and the kids were absolutely captivated by it. They loved the twinkling lights, sparkling ornaments, and the entire ambiance of the room, which felt like stepping into a winter wonderland. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The menu offered a wonderful selection of dishes, but it was the dessert menu that really stole the show for the kids. They were absolutely delighted by the interactive and creative options, especially the ice cream snowman, which was as fun to look at as it was delicious to eat! Watching their faces light up as they discovered the whimsical details of their desserts was priceless. Beyond the food, the overall atmosphere of The Walnut Room is something special. The historic charm of the space combined with the holiday decorations truly makes it a place where you can create lasting memories with your loved ones. It’s clear that this restaurant is not just a place to eat, but a beloved tradition for families — one we’re so happy to now be a part of. Whether you're visiting for a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy the holiday season in style, I highly recommend a visit to The Walnut Room. We’ll definitely be back next year to make more holiday memories. Thank you to the team for making our first visit so memorable!More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6
- OTOpenTable DinerChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThe Gage is a go-to for me when I'm in Chicago. They've literally never let me down, and I've trusted them with clients and family alike. Last night's meal was nothing short of fantastic, and everyone at the table echoed that. Archie did a great job taking care of us with just the right amount of attention and interaction. My only concern is that everyone is going to find this gem and I won't be able to get a reservation! Keep up the great work, guys!More infoThe GagePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.7

- SSteveOrlando / Central Florida East •1 review5.0Dined on Oct 29, 2024We went to Remington's for the first time to have dinner before our show. The service was very attentive. The ambiance was classy, and the background noise was low, making it very easy to talk. My wife and I split a salad and the roasted chicken, along with a tuna poke appetizer. All were delicious. We definitely would come here again.More infoRemington'sPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6
