He was classically trained at the Culinary Institute of America. White Pillars has been recognized and awarded in many state and national publications since its opening in 2017. Austin was crowned " King of American Seafood" in 2021 and nominated by the James Beard Foundation as a semi-finalist for "Best Chef South" in 2020. His specialty is keeping his menu fresh and ever changing with local ingredients and a worldly flare.

    This restaurant is outstanding. Everything from the service to dessert was great. I had the filet Oscar and it was cooked perfectly and served in a pool of butter. The brussel sprouts were also delicious. This was our third visit and we will be back!

    Went for bday dinner service...highly recommend...atmosphere was inviting and lively. Food was exceptional with a few minor changes desired in my opinion...crab oscar topping for steak had asparagus stalks n it...recommend either leaving it out altogether or mandolining it in paper-thin so not as difficult to fork, potatoes au gratin...delicious flavor wise but chunked potatoes held too much texture...recommend perhaps smaller chunks, thick sliced, or just dice em...creamed spinach paired great with 10 oz filet med-rare, fried green tomatoes were on point, long island w/ Myers floater was spot on, even the water was the perfect temp(not too cold for my liking), Brussel sprouts were great, lobster mac and cheese was good (desired a lil more salt), Delmonico ribeye was great as well. Service was provided with a smile and great conversation from waiter N. Garrett
