A Kona landmark since the days of the original Kona Inn Hotel, this waterfront restaurant has long been a gathering place at the heart of historic Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. Built where inter-island steamers once delivered guests to one of Hawaii's first tourist hotels, Kona Inn Restaurant carries forward nearly a century of aloha on the same stretch of Ali'i Drive that made it famous. The open-air dining room and lanai offer unobstructed panoramic views of Kailua Bay, with the sound of waves rolling in just steps from your table, the kind of setting that turns a simple dinner into a Hawaiian memory. The menu pays tribute to that history with classics done right: slow-roasted, hand-carved Prime Rib, the freshest catch brought in daily by local Kona fishermen, the world-famous Mai Tai, and the legendary Mud Pie. Join us for happy hour from 3-5 PM daily, then reserve your table and watch the sun drop into the Pacific. It's Kona Inn, the way it's always been.
