empanadas, croquettes, and salmon were amazing - apple pie not so much

Lived in the Longwood/Lake Mary area all of my 63 years and dined at FishBones for the first time last night on a recommendation from my brother who is the world's toughest critic. Our dinner was amazing, just as was his. Everything from the wedge salad to the blackened prime rib to the butter cake for dessert was five stars! If I could make a single improvement, it would be that they bring in Coke products rather than Pepsi. I have never understood why any upscale restaurant would serve anything but Coke. Starts off on a negative note and honestly, it matters enough I will just get water rather than drink anything but my preference. We will go back, just have to be in the mood to have water with my meal and not Coke Zero. Great food, lovely place, crappy soft drink selection, still five stars.....ok 4.8.

Jeanne and her team were great. Service was prompt, food and wine were very good, and management stopped by a few times to be sure everything was good. The renovations are looking good and needed. Looking forward to them finishing soon and hoping for some new items on the menu. The french onion soup is a welcomed addition to the menu.

First, our server, Britany R. Was a true ambassador for the restaurant. She was a true professional. I had the lamb that was amazing, along with the creamed spinach, that was amazing as well. I will be back. My only negative, was that the Catena Zapate was $195 a bottle, when you can buy it for under $100 at Total Wine. The food and service is out of this world and I would highly recommend it.

Eating at Chica's was outstanding! The food has always been great! We went on Friday night. There was live music on the outside patio and also live music in the bar. The atmosphere was electric but not so much that you couldn't have a conversation with your neighbor. Very enjoyable experience!
