The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat.     Good and service was very satisfying. Well prepared. The spinach Gouda dip was delicious as a starter. Monday is all day “Happy Hour” so it took $2 off tasty our cocktails. Gets a bit noisy but all in all, a excellent experience!

    When making our reservation, I included we would need one wheelchair accessible space. Not only was our table ready for us when we arrived, a chair had already been removed from the table so everything was ready for our party to be seated. So super impressed with that level of preparation! Plus, the food and service were stellar, as always!

    Our first time here! We were celebrating my husbands birthday, the service was amazing our server was the best! Food was 10/10 lamb and filet melted like butter in your mouth with excellent flavor! Dessert was delicious as well! We will be back!
