Went for my birthday dinner! It was amazing and the Caesar salad was a 10/10!!

Visited the restaurant on a weekday for my spouse’s birthday. It was a great experience, the food was good, the service was great and the ambiance was great as well. Would definitely return.

We arrived in a downpour so were 45 minutes late but it was no problem. Staff were brilliant and very knowledgeable and attentive. My partner got a little birthday cake quite by surprise because he mentioned it was a month to his but he would be back in uk! Very thoughtful touch. This is not a cheap night out but worth the effort!

Outdoor dining under the moonlight at its best. We made a 7pm reservation at the recently reopened Sugar Mill Restaurant on the 400-acre Half Moon property. As we got off the shuttle we were greeted by the hostess, Sudan. She seated us at table with white linen cloth. As we were about sit there were two black spots on opposite ends of the table cloth. It's outdoor seating and I'm sure something fell off the tree and caused the soil. Sudan, almost immediately said, I can't seat you here and pointed at the spots. We were then seated at another table beneath the towering sea grape tree with the Sugar Mill House in the background. AJ our assistant server greeted us and brought our drinks. Rohan, our main server then came over with his inimitable Jamaican charm. We both selected the Chef Special menu, a five course meal. Rohan and AJ were attentive and provided exquisite service. They explained, in detail, every course. I was struck by all the native ingredients used in the dishes and how exquisitely they came together. The taste tantalized our palates. We commented and commended Rohan on the excellent service and tantalizingly delicious meal. This food and service were Michelin quality. I was so proud to see my native country step up and deliver first class food and service. Renowned Chef Christopher (Golding) then came to our table. We commended him on the great job he did. As a true leader, he acknowledged, "thank you, my team and I put this together." Wow! He understands the assignment. It was a beautiful and romantic evening under the moonlight. I reflected on the natural beauty of Jamaica, the friendliness of its people and their drive to excel at whatever they do. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲
