Thank you for visiting Kenichi Izakaya Carbondale. An Izakaya is a type of informal Japanese pub. At sake breweries during the late 18th century, people in Japan began using sake kegs as stools, and snacks were served. This small plate menu was designed to encourage sharing amongst friends and family. Food is prepared in multiple kitchens and arrives as it is ready to ensure freshness. We make most of our menu in-house, from scratch, and use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.If no reservations are available, please note that we do have walk-in space at our bar and sushi bar. Ours isn’t a traditional Thai restaurant. We are not Thai. We’re not even Asian. Not even close. Hell, we’ve only visited Thailand!Don’t try to compare our green curry or phat thai with your favorite spot in Thailand. Ours is likely not equal to the one you remember, just different. Our curries aren’t striving to replicate that one you had at your favorite Thai restaurant in LA. That one’s probably better, and next time you visit, we’d like for you to bring us some take-out.Our cravings always migrate towards Asian, particularly Thai. The smell of mint, cilantro, and peanuts, the radiant warmth of Thai chili, the satisfying richness and funk of fish sauce, the acidic slap in the face of lime. It’s as heart-warming to us as our grandmother’s cooking… except, of course, she wasn’t Thai either.We simply try to serve good food and drink. This is our homage, our adoration, and our inspiration – this is our joint in SE Asia – our version anyways.

Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Chef Anthony Mazza's menu features slow-cooked short rib quesabirria, pork cheek tostada, and wagyu flatiron. The nostalgia and historical memorabilia and photos remain.     Great first meal at Gemma! Warm welcome from the staff, beautiful interior. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and helped pick an outstanding wine in our price range. Apps and mains were all great, will definitely return.

    We came to Amara to celebrate our anniversary. They welcomed us with a complimentary glass of bubbly. We shared several delicious small plates: beet and blood orange salad, fish tartare, and lamb chops. All were delicious. We capped the meal off with a chocolate ganache that was to die for. We have dined at Amara a few times and have always enjoyed the meal.

    A great restaurant located in the old Basalt Railroad Hotel. Good atmosphere and the service was spot on. This is a favorite of ours. The taste of Spain and Italy is authentic in their food offerings. Highly recommended.
