Restaurants near Gaslamp Quarter

I have been 2 other locations of STK but San Diego location is now my favorite because atmosphere and vibe were totally different we enjoyed every second that we spent there. Everything were on highest level. Thank you to all staff for an amazing job.

I visited Saint James French Diner after a friend highly recommended it based on some great reviews, and I must say, it did not disappoint. I went during happy hour and had the burger Parisienne. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a juicy patty, caramelized onions, and a soft brioche bun. It was possibly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had my entire life. I recommend getting the sauce/gravy on the side. It made for a great dipping sauce. The fries were also perfectly crisp and seasoned (and not too salty!) The ambiance of the bistro was warm and inviting, with a charming French flair that added to the experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. I’ll be returning soon to explore more of their menu.

Service and food were excellent. Server was humorous and prompt. Very quiet for mid day lunch - I’d recommend for a great spot to eat downtown.

The food and service were outstanding. We sat at the chefs bar so we could see the food being prepared and it made the experience that much better. Highly recommend. Pricey but worth the splurge. Wanted to have dessert but couldn’t do it after enjoying our meal. I was disappointed in myself for misjudging and not balancing my meal to save room for dessert. Maybe next trip I will start with dessert!
