Amazing experience. Everything from the table settings to the drinks to the food to dessert was curated, welcoming and delicious. If you are in San Diego, make a trip to this rooftop restaurant. Fantastic views and friendly staff that are excited to share what they have created.

As a San Diego native, and a neighborhood resident, I highly recommend you dine at Starlight! My husband and I watched the long renovation and wondered what they were doing and why it took so long. After trying to get a reservation for months, we snagged one on a Monday evening to celebrate our anniversary and experienced the beauty, fantastic ambiance, and delicious food! Starlight was more than what we imagined! Every detail is accounted for. As you walk through the hexagon entrance, you enter a space like beautiful environment. There are booths with realistic stars, rock on the walls, beautiful chandelier, hexagon tables, space like mirrored ceiling, every detail fit the theme. It doesn’t stop there, as you walk through the sliding door that makes you feel like you are exiting a space ship you walk up stars to a beautiful 2nd dinning area filled with white rock and fascinating decor, after making your way to another amazing bar you could enter the 3rd dinning area where guest can dine by a magnificent waterfall. I was truly impressed by the design and detail of the restaurant. Our server was fabulous! The food was delicious! We ordered the sausage plate as an appetizer and the sausage was cooked great. We than ordered the steak sampler which was four 3oz cuts of different steaks with 4 sauces on the side. We asked to have it cooked chefs choice and it was on point! You have to get the twice baked potato! My husband and I split it but selfishly I wished I didn’t have to share lol. It was that good. We also had the crab Louie salad. They did it right in my book. It was light but flavorful. The crab was real breaded crab! It was really good. We also ordered the croissant which was good. I had the cola mocktail and it was refreshing! Even the 2 espressos we ordered Came in futuristic cups. Even though we were stuffed we had to try the honey cake. The hexagon shaped cake was worth every bite! We will be back! Highly recommend!

Food and service was fantastic! Had the half chicken and rigatoni. Chicken was moist and the sauces that came with it were very vibrant and tasty. Rigatoni was so creamy and lots of meat. Our server Troy was fantastic with his recommendations and conversation. Our glasses were never empty and people were consistently checking on us. The place is beautifully decorated and intimate. This place is a must if in San Diego.

Fabulous experience, some of the best, most thoughtful service we’ve gotten. Our server Jake was outstanding, made great suggestions and had a knack for knowing just when to stop by. The dry-aged ribeye was phenomenal, the mushrooms were delicious, the cocktails were on point, and the seasonal macaron was a perfect last bite. The atmosphere is classic without being pretentious, and we appreciated the great music at a volume that allowed us to easily converse without hearing the people around us. We sat in the dining room but took in the gorgeous view from the second floor open air space after dinner. 10/10, would recommend, ask for Jake!
