Very nice anniversary dinner in the garden. Enough heaters to keep it warm enough on a chilly Santa Cruz evening. Food was delicious and service was great.

Amazing view and atmosphere! The staff is so friendly, especially our server Veronica. We had a larger group of kids and adults and she took such good care of us. The food and drinks are amazing too, you cannot go wrong here.

I had the Tuesday night special $40 prix fixe: caesar salad and steak frites. A great value! Of course it adds up if you get a cocktail, and their seasonal strawberry cocktail is tasty, without being too sweet. The caesar salad came with an anchovy - perfect - and a flavorful dressing, with a good amount of parmesan (not too much) and crisp little gem-style lettuce. Croutons tasted homemade - altogether excellent. The steak was cooked to order, my requested rare was perfect - char on outside and red on the inside (often American restaurants overcook it). It came with a big dollop of herbed butter on to, yum. The fries were perfectly crispy, even at the end, with lots of salt - just the way I like them. If I had to guess, I'd say they were cooked with duck fat, that's how crispy they were. I don't eat mayonnaise or ketchup, but it came with a decorative circle of both. The cocktail made the meal less of a deal, but it was still an excellent value for the price and delicious!
