I heard this place is good to enjoy afternoon tea with small pay. As I heard, it was true, staff was really nice and cream with scone was especially good. Some people said english breakfast tea isn’t that good but to me it was lovely with a little bit of milk. I definitely recommend this place to...
Wonderful ambiance, attentive servers and delicious food (which you’re able to request more of free of charge). We did not feel rushed at all but we visited probably a little bit off season in the middle of the week. We used the 25% off discount promotion that was on when we visited. The location...
The scallops appetizer was very good.
The lamb chop was all fat with little meat. When we told them they offered to replace it with the Rump of lamb which was lean and excellent.
The cheesecake and the rice pudding are specialities of the house. They were rich, good and generous portions.
The lovely staff cooked escalopine al limone for me despite it not being on the menu and they were excellent at getting us fed as we only had an hour - perfect place to have supper before or after an event at The London Book Review Bookshop as it is directly opposite!
Lovely meal after a visit to a busy British Museum. Interesting menu with something for all tastes and service was fantastic, very attentive waitresses. Would definitely go back next time we're in the area.
Service was exquisite. You really feel pampered by the very caring staff members.
Food is great value too. And it's quiet and cozy.
I would definitely recommend it.
