The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks.     We had an opportunity to celebrate our wedding anniversary over dinner with friends in the new 'Jimmy's Room' dining venue, a warm and welcoming new addition to the space at the Del-Bar named for founder Jimmy Wimmer. Having enjoyed the dining and hospitality at the Del-Bar for nearly 60 years starting when my family would camp at nearby Mirror Lake, the team at the Del-Bar, led by Front of House Manager Filip Fanaev and our dedicated server, Jessie Ferrer, delivered an unforgettable evening of exquisite dining. Everything about our meal was spectacular -- the cocktails, shrimp and Swedish meatball appetizers, perfectly prepared steaks and sides, exceptional wines, and too-delicious ice cream drinks for dessert. Filip and Jessie made it their mission to ensure our evening was special from beginning to end and their commitment reminded us why dinner at the Del-Bar is more than just a meal, it is a celebration of tradition and innovation. THANK YOU to the Del-Bar for helping to make our anniversary celebration so very special and especially to Filip and Jessie for their kind devotion.

    Great atmosphere, amazing food and service! They had the cutest topper (gummy turtles) for my son’s kiddie cocktail. Kids each had the kids steak and kids fish sticks - both were approved by an 9 and 6 year old respectively. Enjoyed a brandy slush drink and a grasshopper - both were great! The lobster and shrimp cargot app was delicious. (It’s not a lot to share maybe for share/ taste between 1-2 people.) The pecan butter is to die for!! Served with warm rolls- was the most unexpected delicious item!! The prime rib was perfect, pork belly and scallop dish, and steak frites were also good. Everyone in our party would order what they had again. The fire pits overlooking the lake on the back patio make for a perfect spot to visit and enjoy a drink! Will definitely go back!
