The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales.     Went with a friend for lunch to celebrate her birthday. When we arrived, table had been prepared with birthday balloons, which was a nice surprise. Food and drinks orders taken quickly, and good arrived in reasonable time. We chose Calamari and spring rolls off the small plates menu to share as starters, and 2 sushi plates, with extra sides for mains. The food was absolutely superb. Clearly freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Can't wait to go back.
