Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. The menu is arranged in a tapas style, serving traditional Japanese small plates along with dishes infused with international flavors and textures. The more traditional Japanese offerings include sashimi and nigiri, sourced from daily fish shipments from around the globe, along with dumplings and noodle dishes. The global cuisine experiments with a bevy of different flavors including unique items such as Grilled Panzanella Salad (jumbo lump crab, toasted focaccia, local goat cheese, pistachios, plum wine vinaigrette), Kobe Beef Sliders (seared foie gras, pomme frittes). A gluten-free menu is also available along with a popular weekday happy hour from 5 to 6:30 pm.

    Great date night spot!!! Loved everything about this place! The vibe and the food were amazing!!! Yummy drinks too and the prices were great! We got 4 drinks and lots of small plates to share and it was all under $200! 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area :)

    We decided on Izayaka Den to celebrate our best friend's one year anniversary. This is the perfect date spot, celebration spot, or spot for any occasion. Although pricy, the food is excellent, the drinks were top tier, and the service was wonderful. Shoutout to our server, Guy, who couldn't have been more personable and lovely. I am a vegan who expressed as much to our server, who was able to accommodate me immediately and knowledgeably. They even comped our dessert, sa a gift to the table for our friend's anniversary. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

    Had a great date night out. The food was good, the cream corn Brulé was less than desirable. If you have a thing with textures, I would not recommend it. It was almost egg like and appeared as if it was a broken sauce. The pasta and wine selections were great. Our server Faith was amazing and gave us an amazing ricotta gelato for our engagement and it was delicious.
