At over 2150 square feet, which opens onto a 2530 square foot tree-shaded GARDEN, the new Ladurée consists not only of a lovely boutique, but also a tea salon and restaurant.
This exclusive address will offer several salons of exceptional character, each with its own decorative ambiance, in the Ladurée style.
All the rooms are decorated with custom-made furniture and unique pieces, collected from the finest Parisian antique shops.
the food (including dessert) was mediocre and the service could have been better. the waiter never came back to check up on us and they refilled my water once. I needed items in between my meal but there was no one to ask.
when it came time to pay for our check, a waiter came over and hovered over us to pay. he also asked us to either provide 18%, 20% etc tip. For such a place to be classy and sophisticated, it was very gauche of him to ask us to tip and subsequently hover over us. disturbing as well because I did not see that happen to anyone else. will never go back. just not worth it.
Go there every year when I visit NYC- elegant yet comfortable. The outdoor seating is exquisite!!!
Service wasn't that great. I had been here before and it was way better. Servers didn't give enough attention to my table and were very impatient to my guests that were from overseas and needed a little extra time understanding the menu.
This place changed significantly after me being here a year ago. Much less people, mediocre food with questionable freshness and service is just terrible now. It was kind of chill for sitting outside and we asked the waiter to move us inside, so they gave us the ugliest table and we asked for nicer one near the fireplace then the manager said the most ridiculous thing ever you can hear in the restaurant. He said that he made an exception for us for letting to dine inside.... Seriously... that’s what you say to a few people who is still coming to your place... Never will be back.
First salon feels old. Was there for breakfast and it wasn't busy. The wait staff were chatting off to the side and were louder than the customers. They were talking in spanish and neglectes customers.
I had heard that Laduree is a very pretty restaurant, so I made a reservation for my friend's birthday so we could get dressed up and a take nice pictures. But Laduree is also quite famous in France for its macarons and pastries, so I was expecting yummy food. I was very happy with the ambiance but the food was shockingly disgusting. I don't mean it was bland, too salty or the portions were too small. One of the sandwiches was a ratatouille sandwich - white bread with cold vegetables in the middle. The vegetables had a hint of soupy tomato sauce on them, and the bread was wet. Yes... it was squishy and damp as if it had been in a wet freezer and was melting. The madeleine is a very famous sweet desert, typically glazed with lemon. This madeleine clearly had uncooked egg inside and was not sweet at all, as if it was a piece of dense bread. Not to mention, the meal was overpriced for both the taste and the portions. If you're looking for a place to go and have a cup of coffee and take photos, I would recommend Laduree. But if you're hungry, eat at the hotdog stand out front before going in.
Pretty atmosphere. Macaroons were good. Food was poor. Service was poor. Finger sandwiches which came with tea serving were not good!
Had a great time! Service was slow because they were under staffed but they made up for it with free macarons. The food was delicious but you are also paying for the experience with this restaurant. I can’t wait to go back
The employees were so accommodating and polite. I came in running late and they were understanding about the time crunch situation. Did not have any problems with the employees, service, or the meal. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Pro tip: if you want to sit out in the garden reservations are a must!
The service was abysmal.
We were seated immediately which was great.
But then waited to order drinks for a good 10 minutes after flagging down a server.
We then had to flag down a server when we were ready to order our lunch.
We then watched our drinks sit on the bar for 5-10 minutes before they were brought to us, which was about 30 minutes later and arrived at the same time as our food.
Not all of us received our food, one of the four of us waited for the food to arrive which must've been lost as we had to remind our server twice that her food still had not arrived.
We all had finished our dishes by the time hers arrived.
Our food was delicious, but our 'bottomless' drinks were never refreshed which made me feel like we didn't get the value for which we paid for.
Overall, this was not a great experience as I was entertaining out of towners at this lunch and they were disappointed. I was embarrassed as I had chosen the venue for a pre mother's day event.
Extremely disappointing service and never returning again. This place is only good for the ambience
Enjoyed the entire experience and I live in the west village. Great patio, food , service and of course deserts
It took a good ten minutes before we even got acknowledged with menus and water on the table. It was a sad experience for my mothers birthday. Ambience was the only good thing from this experience.
Very disappointed at service and food. Tea tasted just like hot water. 3 same sandwiches out of 4. Staffs are not nice at all even we mentioned about the problems. If you want to try out this cafe for just one time, maybe you can but there is nothing special about this place. Cute decor but that was it. I will just buy macaron at the cafe for take out.
Laduree SOHO is my most favorite place. Great service and food.
Nice ambiance especially in the back garden during the blooming season. Food was decent I guess. I ordered the eggs Benedict and instead of being poached they were simply soft boiled eggs thrown over toast. Deserts were good especially the macaroons. Good spot for a date, but pricy
We had high hopes as I’ve eaten at the cafe in Paris. But plates were dirty, service was slow, our order was wrong (twice), items were out of stock (we weren’t told, just given substitutions). For the price, I expected more.
The food was delicious and beautiful. It was the perfect girly, family-friendly spot for our bachelorette party lunch, including a baby & young child. The one issue was that one of the bathrooms was out of order, so the restroom line was very long.
Buena comida en un lugar agradable. Un lugar para compartir. Lo recomiendo.
Sadly, dining at Laduree has gone downhill. I went a few years ago with my daughters and it was wonderful. This time, the service was inattentive, the food unspectacular and the staff behind the pastries rude.
Noted the gorgeous atmosphere, and the staff were lovely!
The server took very long to come to our table every time. At the end we had to get up off the table and pay to somebody else. But we could have just leave if we wanted. She wasn’t paying attention at all. She was a blond girl with an accent.
Thanks to server ever, he recommended and brought two deserts very quick.
This is a beautiful cafe with good food and obviously gorgeous patisserie. The service is hit or miss. Most of the servers are professional and attentive, although I don't think they work under very good management since they never seem like they're communicating with each other. 3 or 4 different servers may take your order and perhaps all of them will forget your food. It's pretty chaotic. Still, the garden in the back is magical and the afternoon tea is served on lovely fine china. It's still a bit of a treat.
Laduree lived up to it's reputation. Visited the entry sitting area once, and the actual restaurant twice. Tried a bunch of the macarons and cakes, and also had a lunch. Everything was delivered straight from French heaven. See you soon Laduree!
Horrible service, over priced, staff is disorganized, rude and plain aggressive
Good place to go for baked goods, but their restaurant is so-so. You go for the experience not for the food. The food seems to be too cheap, and it might be worthwhile for them to increase prices and increase quality. It’s not far off. Just needs more lobster in lobster roll, a real poached egg on eggs Benedict (instead of the soft boiled they use), and more well trained servers. The servers come off as snobby and are easily confused by simple questions. (We asked for another menu and we’re told we would have to walk back to the hostess to get the menu) To be fully honest it’s kinda a tourist trap.
I arrived prior to my reservation time and waited in the cue for 10 minutes only for them to tell me my table had to be set. Yet they took another couple and seated them first. I waited another 10 minutes to get a menu which everyone else was given when they were sat down. I then was ignored for another 20 minutes before I got up and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone wanting any type of service.
Food was good but NOT impressed with service that took extra long for a simple “tea time” experience where all the food is already made so all they needed to do was plate the items. I’ve been to many top-notch high teas and I was very disappointed that they didn’t bring out the tea service in a traditional tiered platter since it was for a birthday girl who had never done high tea before so this was a big let down experience wise, not to mention how crowded all the plates of pastries were on the tiny outdoor table that they could have put on 1 tiered platter . I even asked the waiter to replate the items and he said no. Overall, let down but beautiful outdoor venue.
Wonderful service, incredible respite from A busy City.
The tea service was not exceptional. They ran out of food for the tea didn’t tell our group and replenished with macaroons.
The the tea sandwiches were frozen and dry. We observed other guests entree plates which looked great.
The service was terrible. We had to ask for cutlery 3-4 times after our food was already served. When we finally got cutlery and our food was cold. We tried to order drinks and literally took 45 mins to get a servers attention, so we just walked up to the bar. Take out would have been so much better.
Is beautiful and cozy place! I recommend! Better in spring at last April.
Nice place but I was surprised the food was not actually that amazing.
When I got there I told them that I had a reservation and they said nope, you don’t have one. They didn’t even check... I made a reservation for the garden because it’s cherry blossom season right now. So when she brought me to the back, I asked to be seated in the garden and she said it’s not ready to be seated yet. But there was already people sitting in the garden. Then she brought another group of people out and she seated them in the garden. The people there were extremely rude. As for the food, it’s overpriced! I don’t like how there are two prices for the desserts. The desserts for to go is $8 but for to stay is $3... why am I getting charged for an extra $3 just I am dining in? Also, their rose latte tasted like soap and whoever made it didn’t even try to make latte art and I was charged $7 for a very small cup of latte. When I finished, I asked for the check and ended up waiting for 20 minutes! Unbelievable! Each time I come back their service gets worse and worse. Will not come back anymore.
I had a lovely time at Laduree Soho this past weekend during cherry blossom season. The outside terrace is so beautiful and I would highly recommend visiting during that time. I didn’t catch my servers name but he was excellent! Knowledgeable about the menu to give recommendations but also understanding of dietary restrictions and preferences. He also checked on us but not to the point where he was disruptive and was very courteous.
Beautiful setting. We were able to sit outside when the cherry blossom trees were blooming. We did the Tea Service and everything was delicious. There was a taxable next to us that was vaping and basically doing a photo shoot which detracted slightly from the overall experience. But overall it was a nice place to linger over a couple pots of tea and enjoy some sweet treats!
