No love is more sincere than the love for food. In 1861 King Umberto and Queen Margarita ate pizza for the first time. They fell in love with this pizza made with cheese, tomatoes, and basil – what we now know as the Margarita pizza – it was named after the queen. The story of food is the story of the people. They interact with each other in culture, medicine, invention, and in the growth of society. It tells the war between hunger and satisfaction. Good food is to plentiful not only your hunger but your soul too. This is what we, the La Contea family, plan to do in Southeast Louisiana. We are bringing the story and evolution of Italian food with the taste of all the legions of Italy. Based on fresh ingredients of homemade pastas filled with love and desire for the Italian food. We take pride in the dishes we prepare and how we present our dishes. We have been doing this for generations. We are bringing our traditions and story to Southeast Louisiana.
