For over 20 years, La Tavola has been a cornerstone in Baltimore’s Little Italy. When the neighbors are walking by, they always pause to watch Chef Carlo making pasta by hand. First of all Maki is AMAZING!! She was knowledgeable about the menu and how the dishes were conceived. Her recommendations were on point! The ossobuco special was so good my man had to ask the chef to come out so he could compliment him personally!!!

Our food was absolutely phenomenal. Everything was delicious and brought out quickly. The ambiance is very cute. The tables are well spread out, you don't feel like you're in top of each other. The waiter was so so so kind and attentive and he made our experience absolutely lovely! I give everything about the experience five stars.

I have been here a few times. Definitely one of my favorites in Baltimore for a great Italiam meal. Settingvis more relexed than others, but the food and service is no less amazing. This time, they went above and beyond with adjusting one of their specials because i got carried away the idea that I could choose any sause I wanted with the veal shoulder. I chose vodka sause on a whim, i had second thoughts about it, and so did the chef. I said forget it but decided to give it a try, and it was awesome. One of the the best pasta dishes I have ever put in my mouth. The flexibility and creativity of their owner/chef is incredible. The pasta was cooked perfectly and freshly homemade. Great meal all around. Service was also great. The waiter was a bit chatty as he is entralled working there as he probably should be. Highly Recommend

As someone who grew up in an Italian family, I find it difficult to be able to enjoy eating out at Italian restaurants. This experience was amazing and so well done. Everything from the wine list to the specials are on point. I will absolutely be back because the only thing better than the food were the staff!

This restaurant, in Little Italy, is an Italian restaurant but is farm to table so much of the food is not "standard Italian." All of it is wonderful though; the salads are so fresh, the pastas are homemade, and the fish is to die for. The desserts are also heavenly.

We walked in and we’re immediately greeted by the host. We told them we had a reservation and we’re seated shortly. Our server was very prompt with the food and drink menus. We had the calamari appetizer, which was great! It was fried crunchy while the meat inside maintained a good texture. We ordered the Linguine Taleggio and Ravioli and both came with creamy Alfredo sauce. Our server did a good job of coming to check on us to make sure everything was good at our table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family for a good Italian meal.

We had a 4:45 pm reservation and we easily got street parking within a block of the restaurant. Our waitress was was cheerful, cordial and attentive throughout the meal. Our appetizer (the special) was a seafood sampler shared platter- featuring Octopus, squid and a large scallop, prepared to highlight the uniqueness of each. The entrée menu selections offered variety. I had read that La Tavola was one of the few restaurants in Little Italy to tend towards the dishes of the northern regions and I found this to be true. Red sauce was part of a few entrees but not the majority. Entrée portions were substantial (I took half home for the next day) and well prepared. They were carefully plated and provided a variety of flavors in each dish. My squid-ink pasta had plentiful large pieces of tasty crab meat and the flavors of the spinach and mini tomatoes stood out as well. A list of desserts featured a few that one might expect in an Italian restaurant: tiramisu and cannoli but each had a little twist to them. Other intriguing choices featured gelato or ice cream accompanied by a special cake, espresso or liquor. The chef came to our table near the end of the meal and we enjoyed talking to him. Overall we felt very welcome and were fed superbly prepared food in a quiet atmosphere. This was an out of town visit for us. I wish we lived closer.

Our food and service were outstanding. The linguine and sauce is the best I’ve ever had. And the eggplant appetizer is a must. I will be craving that! I didn’t love the location of our table which was in a back hallway and I wish they had booths or something to make it feel more romantic. All the dining rooms feel very open.

Just driving home from our experience at La Tavola. As an Italian- American, I am picky about going out for Italian food. La Tavola is hands down the best Italian food I have had in a restaurant! We were there to celebrate my son’s birthday. Anthony (the GM) was gracious and shared his Limoncello for our special day. Javier is a welcoming waiter—making our family feel familiar and at home. The food - fantastico! My husband had the rockfish—moist, delicious, wonderful! Everything from the calamari appetizer to the dessert platter was prepared and presented with care and detail. Thank you for a fantastic experience. We will be back for restaurant week. Grazie!

My daughter and I went for an untraditional Christmas dinner. We had reservations for the high top tables and were seated upon arriving. Our waitress who I believe was also the bartender was amazing!! She was extremely attentive and pleasant. Our food was delicious and very fresh. An overall great experience and we’ll definitely be returning soon!

The frita mista was wonderful. Pasta was over cooked and tasteless. The cannoli had no relationship to that iconic sweet. Such a disappointment and expensive for what was served.

We have two private dining rooms upstairs. The Gallery Room can host an event with up to 100 guests with a view of Harbor East in the backdrop. The Chef's Corner has host up to 50 guests. We offer round tables or rectangular tables seating 6-10 guests each with flexibility to set up and customize the rooms as desired for your event.
