I had wanted to try this place for some time, but overall, it was very mediocre. My steak was cooked beyond the temperature I had requested, and was fairly bland. The appetizer was uninspiring. The bread was just OK. I cant say I would be going back. It was especially disappointing since we do not live in the area and took lengthy and pricey uber rides each direction to eat there. I was so underwhelmed I did not even try desert, which is never the case for me.

The food and service was wonderful. If you are over 5’7”, you might struggle to fit at the tables though. I’m 5’8” and my husband is 6’1” and our knees were up against the table legs, which put us a full foot back from our plates. It was really hard to eat that way, so we ended up having to sit straddling the table leg which was pretty uncomfortable to do for the whole dinner. If you are on the shorter side, this probably wouldn’t apply!

We have been enjoying their Sunda Special deal of 1/2 price wine bottle. With this price, their mark up for the wine is almost zero and it is good opportunity for us to try more expensive bottles of wine otherwise out of consideration. Their food is very good and price is very reasonable. We will keep come back especially for Sunday dinner. Reservation is a must for Sunday dinner.

Brunch is always fantastic here. My husband always gets the crab Benedict crepe and it never fails to please. All their food is amazing so you really can’t go wrong. A couple of omelets, the fluffy pancakes, and a Reuben for me made up our other selections and everything was delicious as always! Also a nice treat, a half dozen oysters as a fresh enticing appetizer. Love this place for brunch and will definitely be back!

The right hand side of the restaurant was busy and noisy for a business meeting I had scheduled. The manager was kind enough to move us to the quieter side on the left. Service was attentive and timely. Food was very well prepared. We will be back.

Would have been to have separate checks. There were 8 of us, 4 couples. Four separate checks should be manageable. Not aware of other restaurants doing this. When reservations were originally made, I should have been made aware of this. Other couples now have to send checks for their meals to me in the mail. I used my card to pay. Kind of a pain.

Farewell dinner with a valued colleague. Excellent service, wine and food. We shared the beet salad, both has a sea bass special, and we shared an amazing berry dessert. Fabulous bottle of Pinot noir made the evening more special. Always a great meal at La Merise.

A VERY French ambiance. Overall the food was quite good. One of my friends ordered the spinach crepe and the spinach was a bit tough to cut and to chew. Perhaps it needed to be choppy a bit smaller. Our waitress was made aware but my friend chose to finish here entree. Would definitely make a return visit.

I love this restaurant! Not only does it have old world charm and ambiance, the food is delicious and well-prepared. I had trout - it was fabulous. My husband had the char special - it was also delicious. Our daughter, who is vegetarian, had the vegetarian risotto special, and it was also very tasty, although a little rich for my taste . We all shared the strawberry crepe for dessert and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. If you're looking for a restaurant that makes you feel like you're on vacation, you'll enjoy Le Merise.
