A neighborhood gem that never fails to deliver on their menu! Cheryl the owner is AMAZING! She makes you feel like you are dining in her home with her. From the baby octopus tomato stew to the pork sugo with fettuccini to the incredible chocolate panna cotta with honey and hazelnuts- it all was best in show. We only wished that the service was at the same level of food we enjoyed.

Warm and accommodating hostess! We showed up early but she made space for us and than our waitress was as nice and helpful with solid suggestions on both food and wine. Get the squid and baby octopus! So tender they melt in your mouth! Try the Torbato sparkling wine too. Not only is it a rare Sardinian grape but they both a bubbly and a still version…get the bubbly! Warm experience overall! I have to go back to try more wines from the list and I NEED to try the pastas!!

This was a great neighborhood find near our friends new apartments. Food and wine from Sardinia up front - bottarga, an awesome pasta with sea urchin, and a solid branzino dish. Staff was efficient and knowledgeable, fellow diners were friendly at the close tables. It is a small space, and tables are small and close to one another. We really enjoyed our visit, and we would gladly revisit. Oh - we had a great vermentino with skin contact, and a malvasia both by the glass, and the server suggested a delicious bottle of Cananaou - if you don't know these wines, don't hesitate to ask for a recommendation.

I took my partner to La Ciccia for our anniversary. The place is cute, the food is not bad. However, the portion is small. We ordered appetizer, first course, main course they all looked like appetizer’s sizes, when the second course came my partner said “I am afraid we will leave here hungry”.

Best classic Italian experience I’ve had in years, Sheryl the owner is on top of every detail and service staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The baby octopus in rich sauce it’s a must but all dishes are amazing as well. Can’t wait to come back!!

The food and service was amazing! The host went out of their way on a busy night to accommodate me and my friend/colleague for a special birthday dinner. Due to a health issue of mine, they were able to find an outside patio table with excellent heating. Even though we were outside on the patio ( lovely ambiance), the service was impeccable. The meal was outstanding! We are already planning a return visit to include a larger gathering of colleagues. Many Thanks!

Cheryl Maloney, the new owner of the beloved 17-year-old La Ciccia in Noe Valley, is a hero. While showing the restaurant for sale a few months ago, she purchased it. As a regular customer of the small Sardinian eatery constantly buoyed by other regulars, Cheryl vowed to keep the revered menu the same. The same staff is cooking and serving favorites like squid ink pasta and roasted prawns with basil oil. Service is friendly and dish after dish is delectable. The food is incredibly delicious and authentic Sardinian. We felt like we went to Sardegna for dinner! The new owner is so attentive as if you were in her own house. One of the best Italian restaurants in the Bay Area...or maybe the USA!

Lovely to have such an excellent meal here under the new ownership. The service was gracious, the food was perfectly seasoned, creatively imagined, and generously portioned. The staff could not have been friendlier and we had a leisurely meal in the lively space.

Had another great meal! Can’t go wrong with this neighborhood gem. The hostess/manager is fantastic. She is engaging, warm and a delight. Each of our pastas was delicious. The fava bean appetizer special was excellent. The wait for our table was a little long, 30 minutes past our reservation but well worth it. We will continue to come here for great food.
