    We had the shrimp tacos and they were dry. They were a little cheap with the shrimp too. I was not pleased but I ate them anyway. Our server, Shaquille, was very nice and attentive though. That made up for the dry tacos. I can see why they don’t get a large crowd. It was pretty empty in there when we first arrived. It picked up some more when we were leaving .

    The food was good but arrived at table cold. Especially for a steak. I thought the service was ok as the server seemed a bit overwhelmed with our table of 12. This was an average experience as I have had much better the previous years

    Absolutely appalling service. The rudest host and servers I've ever seen. We left after 15 minutes of NOT being attended to. Would not recommend it to anyone.

    We enjoyed the Sunday brunch. The macadamia nut French toast was excellent and the brunch potatoes (which I was skeptical about since they had bacon in them) were amazing good. The brainiac could have used a little more icing but was very tasty. A great Kona margarita and a $19 bottomless mimosa rounded out our order. We tried 4 flavors …. Preference: raspberry (although they didn’t have blueberry or watermelon). The waitress was great!

    Me and my party had reservations for my best friend’s birthday dinner. We came in at our scheduled time and we were told that there would be a 25 minute wait WITH our reservation. We ended up waiting an entire hour to be seated. Others with reservations were told even longer. Terrible scheduling, absolutely ridiculous wait time with not enough seating. The food was good though.

    The host was very rude and unprofessional. I informed the manager about host which didn't make the situation better. The manager never apologized for host behavior But gave me my guess a free drink.. The manager acted like he was more upset with me because of the way I responded to the host being disrespectful towards me. The manager act like he didn't care this was my 2nd time coming to the restaurant but because of the disrespectful host yesterday will be my last time!!

    Showed up at 6:50 with a 7:00 reservation and were told it would be at least an hour before we got a table. The host told three other groups also with reservations, the same thing. As we were about to leave, we were told that a table opened up. Our group of 4 had all looked at the menu on their website and decided what we wanted. To our dismay, they were serving a "condensed menu" for Valentines weekend. None of the items we had chosen were available. They were also out of the sea bass. So we ordered from the very small number of remaining items. The food was mediocre at best. The service was very good, friendly and timely.

    This place was disappointing! My salmon was raw in the middle, the Alfredo penne was drenched in lemon juice and overpowered the taste. While the service was good the hostess was outside smoking a cigarette. The staff was lounging around during service. This was my first and last experience at the Kona Grill

    Very disappointing. Decided to do the hour round trip to try this place for my 31st wedding anniversary. We were seated at a tiny table that left no place for my wife to put her purse and coat. However, after our server arrived, she cheerfully re-seated us at a larger table, so that was good. We went for lunch, but even then the music was so loud it was difficult to talk to my wife on the other side of the table. I have no problem with loud music generally, but I'm not at a restaurant at lunch to be sonically assaulted by it. Anyway, everything went fine through placing our order. We ordered the Spicy Tempura Shrimp for a starter, I ordered a Sake Sangria (my wife had coffee), and we each ordered the Surf and Turf with both of us upgrading our steaks to Wagyu for $10 above the base $46 price. I instructed that my steak be cooked Medium and my wife wanted hers Medium Well. The Sake Sangria was very tasty, and the Spicy Tempura Shrimp was good, but the shrimps were the tiniest ones you can get. Also, the drink, while tasty, seemed to be devoid of Sake. This was my first alcoholic drink in about 6 months, but I got zero buzz from it. Moving on, the big problems were the Surf & Turfs. First, it was over an hour after we placed our order before we saw them. At the 45 minute point, the server stated they were "coming right up". Then at the 60 minute point, she said it again. 10 minutes later, we got them. The supposed Wagyu steaks were tough and gristly and they had a smell I associate with old, not fresh meat. Also, the server made no effort to ensure we each got what we ordered, and as a result, I got the medium well and she got the medium. The shrimp was oversaturated with salt. In short, we couldn't eat it, told our server so, and they were removed from our bill. As it was, we still spent $40 and an actual meal was no part of it. No one apologized, no manager came to talk to us. Heck of a 31st wedding anniversary. We got Popeye's on the way home

    Worst experience out to dinner I’ve ever had. Ordered a fillet and they brought me prime rib. Also ordered shrimp tacos and the shrimp was burnt and hard and there was no sauce. It was basically coleslaw and burnt shrimp in a tortilla. Nothing came out at the same time. We were there for almost 3 hours.

    The food was fine, they were out of what I wanted originally. The sushi wasn’t rolled very tight and fell apart. It took our waitress pretty long to take even our drink orders. But overall it was just fine.

    Food service was very slow and drink refills were slow as well. We were not notified of food shortages until the food was served leaving guests with out lunch. Reservation only was not posted outside and caused confusion to us as well as potential other customers. Overall the food served was slightly above average. We have eaten at the Kona Grill on several occasions and this was by far the worst experience. On a side note, we eat at Kona every years when attending the MANTS trade show so that should not change the experience We would recommend base on previous experiences

    It was a nice experience. Food was descent. Came here for my daughters birthday. She wasn’t too pleased with how undercooked the potstickers were. Sent them back and she ordered the salmon which she was pleased with. I just wish our server would’ve took the initiative to bring out a cupcake with a candle knowing it was my daughters bday. Sometimes it’s good to just do a little extra for your customers because you will be rewarded.

    This was our first time going to this restaurant. When we walked in the person who greeted us was very unenthusiastic. We were sat down initially, but then a waiter seems to have told him he couldn't seat us there, so he just walked away after letting us know we had to move to another section. Without guidance, he walked away so we decided to follow him. We were getting ready to just walk out, but then he spoke after I asked what was going on. Then he looked at his computer and said follow me and we went to another section. The waitress came shortly after, and her demeanor and service were great. The food was ok, but the price did not meet the expectation for the food. This place reminded me of Friday's, which in retrospect I would have rather gone to.

    They tried to charge us significantly more money for items then the menu stated. There was also a hair in the kids sundae.
