   Worst meal I have ever had there. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. It was burnt so badly, I had to send it back. I rarely do that. My husband ordered a ribeye at over $40 Med Rare. It was the thinnest steak I have ever seen and it was med well. I ended up eating it as it took a while for my Sea Bass to come back. I used to be a regular here but will not be returning soon.

   A disappointing visit. We were going to be at Avalon and chose Kona because of their advertised St. Patrick’s day specials ($3 green beer and corned beef sliders). However, when we ordered waitress looked at us like she didn’t know what we were talking about and said she would have to ask. She came back and told us that they didn’t have those food/drink items. We decided to go ahead and order drinks and apps. After 35 minutes, we inquired about appetizers. Finally got a manager involved and received appetizers about 50 minutes after we ordered them. Had to go through same process with entree. Wasn’t planning on it taking 2 hours for a casual dinner. Manager was pleasant and very accommodating and comped a significant portion of our meal. We appreciated the gesture and because of that will likely be back to give them another chance.

   We really enjoyed our time at Kona Grill. Part of my meal was missing, but the wait staff deducted it from our final bill. I really appreciated that and the kindness showed us.

   Enjoyed our first experience at Kona! Kasandra was awesome, was willing to have a remake on an item I chose that ended up being how I like it (my fault, not the restaurant) and did so like it wasn't an issue. Amazing to have a server react like that! AWESOME. Meal was fantastic and can't wait to be back and try more at Kona!

    Very busy. Had a reservation. 6 girls at fromt desk didn’t have a clue what was going on. Tried to sit six people at tiny cocktail table. They were very rude. Too busy not enough staff or too much staff doing nothing. Not sure which.

    We were served immediately and had a quick visit by our server. Food was good especially the ribeye appetizer. They gave my friend a piece of cake for her birthday. That cream cheese with ice cream was fantastic

    Calamari was tough, lacking sushi options, shrimp tacos really good, Service was a bit slow but friendly and attentive staff. Prices are way too expensive for what you get. Too loud to hold a conversation. If you are into the Taylor Swift type crowd, this place is for you.

    We had a reservation, but still had to wait to be seated (about 10min). Service was a bit awkward at first, almost felt like they didn’t want us in there. We won’t be back.

    They ruined my whole birthday dinner. The food was egregiously disgusting. Everyone at my party received something wrong and all of allergies were ignored. The waiter was nice and was trying his best but cooks clearly were the disappointment here. I plan on never going back.

    TERRIBLE. The Calamari was so bad, it tasted like fried batter. On top of that, We waited over an hour for our entrees that never reached our table. Had to get everything taken off the bill due to never receiving our food. Was there for about 2 hours & did not get to eat anything.

    Restaurant was empty and anyhow they made us wait almost 20 minutes after our reservation time to sit us down. Service was extremely slow and food was not good. French fries were old and tomato bisque was lumpy and tasted to anything but tomato basil bisque. I ordered a sushi specialty roll for $22 that had only 5 pieces and had a weird taste. We ended paying $80 for 2 people and we were not satisfied with our meal at all! Not going back!

    Stopped by Kona Grill for lunch today & everything was great. The Chilean Sea Bass Sliders were a 10/10! My friend and I also split the Avocado Egg Rolls and a sushi roll. KG never disappoints :)

    I understand the hospitality industry has its challenges, however Kona’s service has gone so downhill over theses past few years. Tonight we arrived for our 7:15 reservation only to be told there was a 30 minute wait. We waited for almost 45 minutes till they finally sat us. At the table we waited for our server to arrive, we used the tablet to call for service and still no one. After 10 min we were getting ready to walk out, she finally came over. We had to asked for utensils 2 times before we received any. The meals came out at separate times and one of the meals didn’t come out at all. After waiting we had to flag down our waitress to go grab it. She never apologized once for the service and delays. The manager walked by several times and never asked how we were doing. We even tried flagging her down for help and she didn’t acknowledge. We will NEVER step foot in this restaurant again. Which is sad considering we used to love going there.

    We got there at 9:15 and they were on time with seating us at our reservation time which was 9:30. It took about 10 minutes for us to be greeted. We ordered drinks and waited about 30 minutes for the server to bring us 2 waters and a drink from the bar. We ordered calamari and it came out about 20 minutes later. We were not given any silverware so we had to wait and finally got chopstick to use. It tasted good. After about 30 more minutes, our server came to take our order. She said the sushi would be faster because the kitchen was slammed. I ordered a sushi roll and my girlfriend ordered a steak medium rare. Once the food came out, we were waiting on silverware so my date could eat her steak. The sushi was good however the steak came out rare. We would’ve mentioned it but the server disappeared and we were just ready to go. The experience was probably due to being Valentine’s Day being busy. There was just small things that could’ve made it better like drink refills and shortening the time to bring us the drinks. Maybe I’ll try it again on a non holiday.

    The experience was horrible. A drunk patron stubbles and fell all over our table causing our drinks to waste, making our table fall over, he also fell on the table next to us knocking over their plates and drinks also. My wife and the kids next to our table were hit in the head as he was falling all over our tables and chairs. The manager didn’t check to see if our table was ok. He asked the other table and offered to pay for their drinks.

    We had a very great experience. We were seated for our reservations in a timely manner. Our server was great. The kitchen was running a little behind but it was expected as it was Valentine’s Day. Overall we had a great experience Would definitely recommend.

    The best part of the whole experience was our appetizer and there was even issues with that. We got the ribeye meatballs and by the time we got any silverware to eat with the food had gotten cold. Also, I’m not sure if it was intentional but we also never received plates to eat them on either so we ended up eating them over our napkins. We both ordered Margarita Flights and then was told the bar had run out of margarita flights, which is fine, it’s a restaurant on a busy day I expect there to be items that they’ve run out of. My confusion came in when the server still managed to give us different flavored frozen margaritas for $10 each instead of the flight of 3 for $13 total. Now, we had a reservation for 8:30 and we weren’t seated until about 8:50pm. I made the reservation for an indoor table knowing it would be cold. The hostess told us the only table they had available for us was an outside table on their “heated patio”. There was only ONE heater on the entire time and you could barely feel it. One guest had to get up and turn on another heater and it didn’t start working until we’d already paid our bill to leave. Again, we were seated at 8:50pm… we did not receive our entrees until about 10:45. We’d had other plans for the night and we’d already missed those reservations due to the wait so at that point we took our food to go and we’re back home by 11pm. Our server was okay for the most part so I don’t really blame much of our experience on her. However, I will say that I found it extremely rude that she almost never directly acknowledged me throughout the entire experience. She would only look at or speak to my fiancé. The one or two times she did look my way she immediately seemed annoyed. All in all experience was.. meh. Maybe we just need to go back on a different day and try again

    The restaurant was a amazing vibes. From the music straight back to the service, our sever Calisha gave me and my wife outstanding experience from recommendations that lead to us getting to know her and a little about Kona grill it was awesome experience and definitely we will be back.

    This was not my first time at Kona. It was a quiet Monday night. But the restaurant was running an abbreviated menu: no filet mignon, no Prime Rib. The ribeye was thin and pretty fatty for $150 for 2 with 1 drink. So, would i go again, yes. But last night was not their A game.
