Kobe An has been serving the Denver area delicious sushi and authentic Japanese cuisine since 1979. We were located in Lakewood for 35 years and we just relocated to Cherry Creek. Our owner, Kimie, came to America from Kobe, Japan to serve traditional as well as today's modern food that is popular in Japan. All of our entrees come from and are inspired by her family’s recipes. We have tatami rooms for an authentic Japanese experience. Our tatami rooms are a unique and fun way to enjoy your authentic Japanese cuisine. Menu modifications are happily accommodated.

We take pride in serving traditional japanese shabu shabu and sukiyaki. Both are prepared with an assortment of noodles, fresh vegetables, quality meats and house made sauces. $9 per person to join the pot (2 person minimum). Includes miso soup, steamed rice and accompaniments. Then add protein choice, we recommend 1-2 proteins per person

Beautiful and clean space, very quiet for a Friday night. Food menu was dated, not many dietary options. Sushi menu was very standard, nothing that sparked our curiosity or our palates. The sushiwe ordered looked okay but just didn't taste fresh. House sake was nice, others said wine was good. Overall was fine, but would not go out of my way to return.

Food was delicious, service was great! My complaint is that the menu in Open table is not correct/accurate. Also open table says approximately $30/person. That os not accurate. It is more like $50/person for food. Plus the cost of drinks.

This was the best Japanese food I've had in years! Fantastic, attentive service, and really delicious food! We had the black cod, trout, and eel entrées and the Mt. Fuji for desert.

It was very slow and quiet and the food was just fine for the price. It took a long time to get our drinks and appetizers. The food came out randomly so only some people were eating while the rest waited. The uni was partially frozen. The atmosphere was nice and the floor seating areas were cool, but it was very quiet. Some music would have been nice. I would come back to try some of the cooked dishes.

We expected so much better! We have dined at the other location and thought this would be the same. The food was mediocre and portions were small. The service was extremely slow- one poor overworked and overwhelmed server for the entire restaurant! I know they are shorthanded, but it still impacted the experience.

This is a neighborhood gem. Great sharing food with friends or family. The food is delicious as are the appetizers. We ordered the octopus balls and the fried Calamar and both were excellent, we ordered the Kobe ribeye with an extra udon and one ribeye because it was so delicious! We will definitely come again.

This is more than what I expected. My best friend is a huge fan of Japanese culture so this definitely was it! She was soo happy and that made me happy also. Great service and great food. I would take that 1 1/2 hour trip again to this restaurant.

Wait time for food was a bit long but we ordered big portions and it was amazing! Service was good, our waiter, Chance, (I'm sorry if I got that wrong!) was very friendly and accommodating. Food was amazing, atmosphere was amazing. My parents (who've never been here before) said the food was good. Reasonable prices for how big the portion was. Wish we got the other table, but we'll try to go when it's less busy and hopefully sit there!
