    Very disappointing. I have been a huge fan of Katsuya for years. Eaten at almost all of their locations. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with them. The server was there and then not- had too many tables with some inside and some outside so not even within eye shot to get attention, most of the time. The food was barely serviceable: The Miso Cod was undercooked, cold and hard to cut. Tasted terrible. The Crispy rice with Tuna used to be warm rice and cold tuna, this time it was cold rice and warm tuna. The Rock Shrimp Tempura roll was good except again the spicy tuna was warm (and not because of the fried shrimp on top). Everything else was passable but definitely not up to standards of this once incredible restaurant. I'll be cack to try again but they need to figure it out.

    It took 45 min to get our drinks, it took an hour to get our food which was just 3 orders of fried rice. The rice was literally the scrapings from the bottom of the barrel, it was crispy over cooked hard pieces that would stick to your teeth. Completely uneatable. Very very disappointed I used to love it there but sadly will not be returning. Left there to go directly to the concert STARVING, couldn't eat until super late after that.

    Service was prompt and friendly. Food was great, some was exquisite. I definitely recommend this restaurant before a game or concert!

    The food was excellent. The service, however, was poor. Our waitress barely checked in on us. And another random server with a dark beard was very rude. He had absolutely no personable skills. I would recommend the food, but nothing else.

    I’m very upset that the restaurant changed my reservation by 15 minutes so that I wouldn’t get the 1,000 points I was suppose to receive for making a reservation at 8:30. My email confirmation also confirms I made the reservation at 8:30. Somehow someone at the restaurant changed it to 8:15 so I only got 100 points. Very disappointed.

    Wonderful atmosphere and quick turnaround on food. Great place to just hang out or people watch. Highly recommend for a date night.

    Great food - fresh, high quality, creative and tasty! Loved that Katsuya set aside a private area for my party. Food was served quickly as well, which we appreciated considering it was a Sunday evening. Thank you!:)

    This location was extremely loud and the food did not come out in any logical order. One entree came about 20 minutes before anything else. The last entree arrived at least 10 minutes after the previous item. Appetizers arrived at random intervals, not before entrees. They were out of most of their beer options. Overall, food was OK, but it was too noisy and the food service was chaotic.

    Service was turn and burn. No care. We got salad with no serving spoon, then sushi without soy sauce. Everything just felt like an upsell and how quickly can we get you out. It was a Sunday night and not even busy.

    Good food, prime location. Came over after the clipper game was over and seated quickly. Good strong drinks. Food was cool. Check ur bill, there is a 9.99 junk fee for some wack reason. U can ask them to take it off. Bill was $200 + so no need to add that in there. I’d def come back tho.

    Disappointing is the word that comes to mind. Had to ask for things multiple times. The portion size was small regarding the sashimi. Other Japanese restaurants tend to give you a nice size portion of fish. Here, they are very thin almost tiny would be the word to describe them.

    Very good experience and excellent food. I usually get the signature crunchy slaw salad but I tried something different. It was the fried tofu salad and it was so delicious!!

    If you are gluten free, this is a challenging place to eat because all of their rice has gluten inside of it. You can order certain items without any of the sauces, but it does change the flavor profile.

    This was one of my worst experiences ever. We arrived on time and were waiting over an hour for our food, which was just two side orders one of which got lost and never arrived AFTER AN HOUR. We even asked multiple times and nothing. You would think we would get comped for something (at least for our patience and the mix up) but all we got was an apology.

    I've been to Katsuya on occasion over the past 10 years. Overall the food is still good, but not great. And certainly not worth the price. Service was great, but the entire place feels like a factory. I suppose it's convenient for a quick bite if you're heading into a concert or sporting event at LA Live, but I would not go out of my way to eat there again. If you have any experience eating high quality Japanese food, don't bother going.
