   It was our first time- we so enjoyed everything- the waiters, hostess. And the food was to die for. We definitely will be back! The service was prompt and impeccable. Keep up the good work.

   We celebrated Father's Day at Johannes and it was one of the best dining experiences in Palm Springs. The Shrimp Cocktail and schnitzels were out of this world. Will definitely be coming back.

   Host staff and service very friendly and attentive. Food was really good. Noise level was very good, we were able to actually have a conversation. Overall a great experience…even better than previous visits. A Palm Springs gem!

    We look forward to our dining at Johannes every time we visit Palm Springs. It was closed back in 2020 due to COVID so we were looking forward to this visit which did not disappoint! From the great service to the outstanding food, we totally enjoyed our meal. We enjoyed the striped bass and pork chop as our entries. Both were very good and hardly left room for dessert, but we manage to share one to end the evening. Pre and post dinner cocktails as well as the wine fit the meal perfectly. Can't wait until our next visit. Great place to relax and enjoy a wonderful meal.

    Due to covid it has been years since I have dined out. Johannes was an excellent reentry point. The for donkey was fabulous,the Walla Walla cab franc hit all the rightspots. Barrie (sp?) still reigns as top server in palm springs and has held that rank for years. Johannes hit all the right notes. Bravo.

    Our server, Berry, we the greatest. Fantastic service without being overbearing. Food was wonderful, special was rabbit, which I hadn't had in years. Don't miss thid gem.

    Johannes is our favorite restaurant. We head to palm springs about 5 times a year and start every trip at Johannes. Lemon Caper Schnitzel is a must.

    I was the first to be seated and although I was smiled at or otherwise acknowledged by the other waitress, servers and busboys, it was quite some time before the waiter assigned to our table made any presence. After having enjoyed Johannes for a number of years, both for Restaurant Week and otherwise, I was disappointed to be advised that the restaurant was not participating in Restaurant Week this year. As we began to order, we requested separate checks to which the waiter responded that, because they use hand-written checks, he could accept multiple payments but only for a single check that included meals and drinks for all of us. With all the restaurant software options available, it's disappointing that any restaurant, especially one of this caliber, would not be implementing technological efficiencies. The escargot had an abundant sauce but, should have been served with additional bread. The Yaeger schnitzel was wonderful and a good sized portion but, could have been more spicey.

    I’m a first generation German and I grew up on food from this region at home and I can say with 100% certainly…..Nailed it. If you love food from this region of Europe you will not leave disappointed. The dill cucumber salad brought me right back to my Oma’s kitchen…amazing.

    Another wonderful evening spent at Johannes. Food, service, cocktails & wine were all impeccable. Dinner was (as always) delicious. However what makes the evening outstanding is the attentive service…..professional in every sense of the word!! Numerous dining choices in Palm Springs….but you can never go wrong in selecting Johannes.

    Did not appreciate the maitre d’ at first not agreeing to change our tabl. He claimed nothing was available in that room for more than an hour. However, we saw 2 empty tables and when we addressed him on this he agreed to give us one of them. We’ve been a patron of johannes for many years and never had this disdainful experience The maitre d seemed to prefer gay men to to us 2 women I wonder if anyone else has had this experience At johannes

    The chicken schnitzel here is excellent, especially with capers and lemon butter ... exceptional! If you can, try to get Barrie as your server, she is wonderful! You won't be disappointed!

    Not great for a special occasion like a birthday. Places has overpriced cafeteria quality food smothered in cream and butter. They have a restaurant and a hallway to the bathroom lined with tables. For a birthday, host would not seat us in the restaurant.
