Service and delivery has really gone down hill, I’ve been going to Joe’s 5 or 6 times a year over the last 30 years. We were booked for the main restaurant but taken to the bar area. I’d had no call to confirm the reservation. Small details were absent (napkin not folded and then taken away before the meal had finished, for what I have come to expect - it feels t be target audience are now one off tourists. It felt rushed and service was not the usual attentive style. I guess it is time to move on.

I have been to the oyster bar for lunch many times. Always fun. This time the restaurant, was very pleasant. Food and wine very good. Expensive, but a great place to eat. I must admit, being charged 13.5% on the cover charge, sticks in my craw. Otherwise wonderful.

Superb food, excellent quality and well cooked. Great Lobster Thermidor and my wife enjoyed the miso salmon. Quick service helps theatre goers.

The food was delicious (fish pie!) and cocktails were excellent, location and ambience good. We had a 4pm reservation and we seems to get lost in their system - seated us near the bar for a drink, no one came to take our order. 45 minutes after our reservation time, we were finally seated - they didn’t realize our reservation was for 4pm. Said it was a “crazy day”. And then it was mysteriously changed to that time in Open Table. At least the food was awesome.

I’ve walked past so many times but never booked a table, until now. I won’t be making that mistakes again. Table booked pre theatre at the Barbican with my father. The service, atmosphere and most importantly the food were top notch. We had the bisque and mussels to start, the portion size being so plentiful, a nice surprise. We then had bass and the fish stew…all dishes were super. Too full for desert, maybe next time…as there will be a next time.

Old fashioned place with a great cosy feel that's still energetic. Food is excellent and the choice is also excellent. Service is friendly but professional. All in all can't really find a fault.

Dressed Crab excellent, Monkfish with Bearnaise sauce outstanding. Fish Pie and Prawn and Monkfish Tikka Massala very good. Service was charming but a little inexperienced on the wine front, which took ages to arrive. However a very minor issue in an otherwise first class lunch.

We had an excellent experience in every way. Our greeting at the door was welcoming, our waitress was friendly and efficient, the food superb. We were not hurried and we both thoroughly enjoyed the evening

Fantastic. Went with a work colleague and we both really enjoyed it. The food was amazing, with lots of choice, other options if fish is not your thing. The service was polite, fast and efficient, we had a really friendly waiter. The place itself is very pleasant. This is a keeper, definitely shall be going again and again!
