Indochine Asian Dining Lounge
For such an enjoyable dinner with our friends. We can’t wait to go back soon! Every dish we had was delicious.
I have been gong to Indochine in Tacoma and Federal Way (now closed) for about 10 years now. I has been my FAVORITE place to take friends and family until now. I have always ordered their Fresh Spring Rolls which were the best I have ever had...now, what a disappointment...there was SO little meat in it...almost all greens...The Phad Thai must have been a little "old" as it was all stuck together in a "solid" clump.
This visit may have been an "exception" to the rule, but they have never disappointed like this. I think I need to find a new Thai restaurant.
Seemed to be an issue with staffing. Got seated 20 minutes after our reservation. Our appetizer never showed up. When we did get our main course, amazing. Food was so good that, regardless of service that was hopefully a fluke, we will be back
We got the seafood curry and chicken pad Thai and both were absolutely amazing! Very large portions. This is a neat place. great cocktails, wonderful and helpful staff, great atmosphere (especially for a date). I personally won’t be able to come here as often as I would like due to the prices but the the prices are well worth the food, portions, and experience. I think everyone needs to experience a dinner here! Looking forward to coming back!
I have been coming here for years and it’s still a amazing restaurant with good food and service
Food was very tasty. Perfect! We ordered a head of time. Food was ready when we got there.
Last minute booking for party of nine. Accommodated us in a great semi private area. Wait staff (Jordan?) was exceptional, attentive, and very helpful directing this large group in placing family style orders. Food was excellent as well. Will return if traveling to Tacoma in the future.
Delicious Food + Attentive Service + Great Ambience = a Fantastic Experience!
Food was not authentic as it claims. Fish was burnt and for $30 I expected more. Panag was clumpy. Beef salad lacked spices amd seasoning, plus it had pineapples in it!?!?!? One of the lights at our table was out so it was dark...... Was asked to box our food up when we were still eating......Overall very disappointed. Went there a few years ago and had a completely different experience. It was our anniversary and wanted a nice dinner. Unfortunately, paid way too much for mediocre food at best.
Wonderful place to have dinner! Love the atmosphere and the food and cocktails were amazing. Try the Brown Sugar Bourbon Cherry Sparkle 🍸
The food was good, service was nice, and the atmosphere is fun.
The service was excellent, as was the food. The dining room has a lot of hard surfaces without fabrics, so it was quite loud for attempting conversation. My guest has celiac (gluten allergy) and a dairy allergy and had a lot of options for dinner and even some dessert (vegan ice cream) options. Is so difficult to dine out with food allergies, so it’s great when you can find somewhere that works.
Everything here was awesome the food was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly
Made a stop at Indochine after about 6 years of being away from Tacoma. As good as I remembered it to be. We both enjoyed our meals. The drinks were good and pours healthy. Dessert was well sized and tasty.
I met some friends at Indochine for a birthday dinner. We got to the restaurant early for HH and asked to be seated early. Every staff member were eager to make our experience fun and smooth. We were well taken care of and the food and presentation were wonderful!
We suggested Indochine for the two people joining us who had never been there before. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and possibly most important to us for this dinner, it was very easy to talk comfortably and we never had to compete with music or other imposing sounds.
Cannot day a bad thing. Food was great, service good just an outstanding evening!
This is by far one of my favorite restaurants I've been many times. This was my friend first time he loved it and thanked me for taking him. Our food was spot on, so delicious... we had Toasted Sesame Chicken Wraps and Orange Chicken, you will not be disappointed. If you love adult beverages we did enjoy the Buddha and the Brown Sugar Bourbon w/ sparkling Rasberry yummm. Our server was attentive and boxed up our food.
Food is awesome. But it took 35 minutes for our waitress returning to take our order after she took our drink order. We joked that it would be faster to call in a take-out order before our waitress returning. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry.
Food was great!
Everything was wonderful!
Excellent food, large portions and a very attentive service.
Delicious, innovative cuisine in a gorgeous setting. Friendly, efficient staff. Highly recommend Indochine!
Birthday party for 79 year young mother. Great time had by all! Plus a free dessert for the birthday girl!
We went for my 37th birthday. I love the ambiance. The calamari was good but seemed like it may have been sitting out for a little while because it was not as hot as I would have expected it to be. I did enjoy the mango fried rice. The flourless chocolate cake and sorbet was delicious.
The food was TERRIBLE, we will not be going back ever again.
Overall, I enjoyed eating at Indochine. My meal was very good and my boyfriend enjoyed his. The restaurant was on the loud side though, and the service took longer than expected, but other than that I was satisfied with the experience.
Food was amazing as was our Waitress. Will be coming back for sure!
Great place to take friends or your love one. I highly recommend for adults only it’s not really a kids setting. Nice food and service!!
The food is good especially the freah spring rolls. For aome reason the spice factor was confused with our order. We asked for 2 out of 5 stars and clearly had something bordering on 4-5. Very hot and difficult to eat. We just ordered more rice, did our own mix and it was fine.
Hubby and I celebrated our Valentine’s Day with dinner at Indochine. It really was a lovely experience from the moment we arrived. We were seated in a booth as requested and staff immediately brought us two champagne glasses filled with a yummy sparkling sangria and we were enthusiastically wished a happy Valentine’s Day. Our meal was beautiful. We selected two items from their house specialties that the waitress highly recommended. Entire dining experience was perfect. We ended our tasty meal with their lemon coconut cake which is so moist and delicious and as light as air... I did not want to share it!!
The Indochine on Pacific Ave in Tacoma has such nice ambiance with water feature and a variety of romantic seating. We love it!
Indochine tried too hard to be the valentine destination event. The complementary Sangria was a very nice touch and the service was very good. Mixologist was spot on with the Martini and Old Fashioned! Well done! The food was good but not as exceptional as in the past. My Chicken Panang Curry was good and my wife's Ahi dish was very tastey but it lacked its past WOW! But one thing that just didn't do it for us...the play list was stuck in 1973 soft pop! Our reservation was in the early evening so maybe they were catering to the early bird crowd...but please...NO more Bee Gees and Commodores! Otherwise, a delightful time. Thank you!
Service was excellent, not intrusive. Atmosphere was great, very nice seating arrangement. I would only say that the music was quite loud to have an quiet conversation with your dinner companion. It was a little pricey but the serving size was huge - we will have leftovers for several nights. Outstanding food, excellent flavors!
Meal, service and facility were all excellent. My only downside was the relatively heavy metal music being played which I thought to be an odd choice for any kind of restaurant at dinner.
We enjoyed the evening. Service was a bit slow to start but then were very responsive.
We were taken by the authenticity of this restaurant, which reminded us of a few restaurants we were fortunate to have visited while in Thailand. The atmosphere was charming and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The ONLY reason for the 4 stars for the service is that we were asked if we wanted boxes for our food while we were obviously still enjoying our lunch, and two more times after that. I'm sure it was probably a newer employee who was anxious to do all the correct things and still didn't quite have her timing down. Other than that, she and the others who served our table were lovely and efficient. We WILL return.
Everything was great!
We enjoyed our dinner. Just bare in mind that ‘medium hot’ is quite spicy. Next time we would order the beef noodles a bit less spicy.
The mojitos are also very good.
