Indian Accent's menu reinterprets nostalgic Indian dishes with an openness towards global techniques and influences. Chef Manish Mehrotra highlights distinctly Indian flavors on a contemporary menu.
To respect the dining experiences of all our guests we practice a restricted entrance policy, only allowing children aged 10 years and above
Outstanding chef’s tasting menu and service was attentive but not overbearing.
The service was phenomenal, unfortunately the food was very sub-par and not worth it.
Great food and service. Would go again!
The food was excellent- we had the 3 course menu with wine pairing- superb! Service was great as well. Would go back in a minute!
For Indian food it was not bad, but all we wanted to try on the basis of internet pictures was not available.
Love the food and service. Usually it's a very relaxing environment, but for some reason it was very loud this visit. I couldn't hear my dining partner across the table. Perhaps the people next to us were screaming because they were jerks. Perhaps it was so loud they couldn't hear either. It wasn't really the restaurant's fault in the sense that there was no loud music, but wow was it loud just from people talking.
Everything was better than expected. Food excellent, service personable and professional. All staff was appropriately engaging. Server Joffre, excellent.
Brilliant food with some excellent staff that not only know the food but also the wine.
Indian food done with a few twists here and there and superb
The food is outstanding in appearance, taste and diversity. Each dish is arranged artistically- providing a sense of calm as you take in the simple beauty of the preparation. The flavors are complex, evolving in time in your mouth- delicious. I strongly recommend Indian Accent.
We came here with a someone who visited the Delhi one. We visited on a Friday night and one could have had their pick of the litter on reservations. As far as food the simple twists on known Indian foods were welcomed they were just that. The food was indeed appetizing. The creations, service, and ambience as a total weren't worth the premium.
Service super slow and food has become over salty and average
The tasting menu with the wine paring is amazing.
Wow! This was amazing! I would recommend this to anyone who is NYC that this is must have dinner joint! The food was excellent. Not so happy with our server, but overall we had a great evening, food and wine. Food is so so good!
We had the tasting menu which was pretty good and very filling at the end. My friend had a seafood allergy so she substituted for the lamb entrée for an additional price and it was very tasty and tender. I had three of the non-alcoholic drinks and all of them were very fresh mint tea foodie and very good.
We were amazed by the innovation with Indian food and spices! What a memorable experience. We will surely return.
Our reservation was for 1:30pm but we got delayed and reached around 1:40 pm. Restaurant closes at 2pm per their site so we were anxious that we may be rushed but on tue contrary our Server was very patient and knowledgeable and took extra tome to explain the menu and favorites leading us to make great choices. Every portion was super delicious and perfectly spiced neither over nor under. The heat level was balanced to dance on our pallet without overwhelming it, we did ask for their chilly sauce which I recommend if you want to substitute with a kick as it’s their homemade green chillies sauce. The desert is a must to be tried I blv it’s called the Malai desert it’s worth the experience and flavor & is super airy and light despite its appearance. All in all a great experience.
Great place and amazing food!
Every staff member was friendly, helpful and attentive enhancing the most spectacular meal, and convincing us that Indian Accent is the best Indian restaurant in the US. Each mouthful was inventive and truly delicious.
The food was good however, it was not worth the price. The lamb chops, bhaigan bharta and malai makhan were the best.
Inventive food. Sooooo delish! I don't usually visit NYC restaurants more than once because there are so many. This one will see me again. We had: tandoori lamb chops / paper roast dosa / pepper chicken kerala ...and a delicious drink called Transcendental Medication - Honeycomb Gin, Genepy Sage Liqueur, Lavender Tincture - AWE-MAZING!
Both the food and attentive service was excellent. One of our favorite places...such fun to try the chef's tasting menu!
Second time to eat here. Truly fabulous! Service was great, food outstanding and overall one of my favorite restaurants.
Excellent food and service. We will definitely dine here again!
Really good Indian fine dining. Service, food, and drinks were excellent. Highly recommended.
The food here was amazing. The only feedback I have is that the presentation of the vegetarian food needs to be improved compared to the other food.
Our server was very helpful since it was the first time I took my family there who were older and did not experience Indian food in this manner before as they were used to family style servings. Our server selected a great array dishes for us while making sure that our specific selections and dietary limitations were taken care of. We had an amazing experience and the desserts were the star and the perfect way to end the meal. Looking forward to coming back.
This restaurant stands above all other Indian restaurants
Very modern and elegant ambience . very personal service , beautiful presented cuisine . We felt very special while dining here
Really enjoyed this restaurant. - Food was very unique and enjoyable. Also felt as if the traditional Indian flavors were not compromised.
Food was excellent, but we were seated at a table where the AC did not reach. We brought this up, but we were not given the option to move tables. Food was great, but we were so hot and uncomfortable in the restaurant - it was hard to enjoy.
The Food and Service were excellent at Indian Accent. My wife and I came for her birthday and everything was wonderful. Certainly, prices are a bit higher than a standard indian restaurant, but this is not a standard indian restaurant. The blend of flavors and quality of food is so good, you won't get a similar experience at most other restaurants. I would definitely recommend Indian Accent in the future. We hope to come back also.
I’ve been there several time before but Service was a little off this time.
The food was a superb fusion of Indian and western done in a way without losing on the essential Indian flavors. It was a culinary delight and even impressed my husband who is a good cook himself. Worth the time and money.
What a disappointment.. Totally messed-up service. We all ordered the 4 course chefs tasting and the 2 of us got our 2 courses while the other 2 were just waiting forever for the first course. Also they would mess up who ordered what and food was placed at the wrong person. The servers would serve wine for the next course way before the course arrived. Totally could not explain the wines and how they pair with the food ordered. I ordered 2 appetizers as I did not order desert.. never came and no answers for that.
The food was good. but the service was totally out of wack. Very disappointed specially because we have been to the one in Delhi and had loved it.
Not your typical Indian restaurant...very upscale. Food was delicious and very plentiful so be sure to go hungry. Options include a chef's tasting menu or either 3 or 4 courses of your choosing, additional courses can be added. Very small bar area where you can also eat if a table is not ready. Service was top notch.
Very nice and pleasent ambient... and very good food!
What a place! EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL!
Prices are a bit steep
Great service, really good food, overall excellent!!
We adored the chef’s menu at Indian Accent and make it a point to reserve whenever we’re in NYC. An expensive treat that’s worth it!
Wonderful, innovative food!
