Incredible meal at this wonderful Charleston restaurant located in a beautifully renovated historic home. We were fortunate enough to score a table on the first floor next to a window overlooking the front porch. From arrival to departure, our experience exceeded our expectations. Wonderful food, fabulous service, and a beautiful space. Look forward to returning on our next visit to Charleston!

Our third time visiting Charleston and our third time dining at Husk. As always the food was creatively delicious and the service and friendliness of the staff contributed to another wonderful experience! As a Southerner speaking ....... the best banana pudding ever!

Our Husk experience was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Every food item was absolutely delicious. The star was by far the lettuce wraps. Our waitress was spot on with all of her recommendations. We cannot wait to go back again and we would suggest attending to anyone!

Outstanding food and service. We were seated outside on the porch so there was a bit of noise from the street but that just adds to the vibe. Definitely worth a visit when in Charleston.

Fabulous dinner - every dish was unique and delicious. Our waiter described, recommended, and served perfectly. An experience not to be missed! Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

I booked on Open Table months ago and confirmed the day before. When we got there they told us we did not have a reservation we must have booked Nashville. I pulled out my phone and showed my confirmation for Charleston then they were nicer and said all their OT reservations were wiped out. They did accommodate us a little later I had checked the menu online and they said their menu items change daily and they did not have what I asked about. Why do they post an old menu online if it’s not current. Our waitress was snobby.

Exceptional cocktails at the Husk Bar. Great food- we shared the delicious oysters and the spicy lamb dumplings. Oh and the yummmmmy cornbread. Entrees were very good- we ordered the rabbit sausage and the snapper. Best overall meal of our visit!

I actually never ate here this time 'round... They cancelled their relationship with Open Table, and when I tried to cancel, those jerks at Open Table penalized them and wouldn't readjust their tech support allowing me to cancel. Shame on you, Open Table. But I have eaten at Husk many times in the past and it's been terrific!

The food is excellent and it’s a great experience. Make your reservation as soon as you know your schedule. This is a place you don’t want to miss. My only criticism is that they took the bread pudding off the menu. They made it better than I’ve ever had. They did replace it with the best banana pudding I’ve ever had, so it’s hard to complain. If you have time, go early and hit their bar next door while you wait. Historic home, great food!

My low scores are for Open Table, not Husk. I had to move my reservation (and trip to Charleston) from March 1st to mid-April. When I tried to cancel the reservation on Open Table, it would not let me as suggested that I call Husk. I did that and they quickly changed my reservation. They also told me that they stopped using Open Table and changed to Resy. I continued to get emails from Open Table asking me to confirm the registration. Again I tried to cancel and it wouldn’t let me. I now am receiving emails from Open Table asking how my dinner was? And solicited my feedback …which is what I am doing here. This has been a very frustrating experience!? Husk is an excellent restaurant, and apparently preferred the advantages and improvements they learned about with Resy. Bottom line you need to fix issues with customers like I have experienced, and you obviously need to address issues with restaurant partners like Husk!

Location and staff were amazing. Food had hits and misses. Starters were all fantastic, the mains were greats. The sides needed work. Husk should be a bit embarrassed how bad the grits were and for the price? Same with the cornbread. Our vegetables weren’t even warm, including the beets which weren’t cooked enough. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. It was fine to good, but it didn’t meet our potentially hyped expectations.

We had a good meal at Husk but unfortunately the experience was marred by the overly bright lighting, spartan table setting and overall unattractive space. It totally lacked charm. However, the bar at Husk is a wonderful space with lots of character and excellent bartenders. Visit the bar but skip the restaurant.

We were in Charleston for 8 days and tried many restaurants. Husk was, by a considerable margin, the best. Our server, Talmage, was extremely helpful, the food was excellent. We were seated as soon as we arrived for our reservation. We would not hesitate to return.

Service was slow. Drinks were average. Food was not as good as some of the restaurants in Augusta where they serve food with local products. Menu was just OK for our taste. Value of dinner was expensive for the product.

Our food was fabulous. The ingredients were unusual but delicious. So surprising the textures and flavors! We were able to enjoy the tilefish, porchetta and a ham and biscuit appetizer. Dessert was good too.

A friend recommended Husk to us and it lived up to all expectations. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes. The lamb ravioli was an outstanding appetizer. I had roasted chicken with a white bean puree for my entree, delicious. The chocolate chess pie for dessert was so so good. There is no rushing, our server would check in but never in a rushed way. It was a lovely evening filled with good wine and wonderful food.

First time for dinner. Had been several times for lunch/brunch. The cornbread with bacon flavor was tremendous. The rest not as special as we’d expected. Worth the $? We may not make an effort to fit Husk in our schedule for our next visit to Charleston.
