   We had read reviews of Hunters  Tavern and looked forward to nice service and meal. Jacob was our server. Did a great job. Was able to answer our questions or find out if he didn't know. We both ordered one of the dinner specials on Sunday Mar 19. It was rockfish with lump crab. A different server brought our entrees out. We couldn't find the crab. We waited for Jacob to check on us. I had to wave to him while he was talking to another leaving their table. We mentioned there was no crab. He went to the kitchen. And came back to get our plates. He brought the rockfish back with lump crab  but there was no apology. The crab meat was cold but I ate it anyway. The rockfish was delicious.  We ordered decaf coffee and we were brought instant coffee, full of foam. We were so surprised. We ordered dessert and those were good.  Mary was our server at breakfast. She was very personable and brought brewed coffee. I ordered the quiche. It was the first time I ever saw a quiche burned! The inside had the consistency of creamed eggs. I wondered if it was cooked enough. I found 3 small pieces of crab meat. Cannot recommend this dish. The staff is very warm and friendly. They get the highest marks. We won't be back. So sorry. We highly anticipated this visit and we're sorely disappointed.

   We had an 11:30 reservation and arrived about 11:10. I asked the hostess if it was possible to be seated early and she quickly smiled and said we could be seated right away with no problem. Pretty great for a party of six! We were greatly warmly and out in our drink orders. The brunch menu has got some thing for everyone- in some cases two or three somethings!- so it took us a little while to decide. Our server was very patient with us. We ordered our food and everything came out with decent timing. A few things could have had more seasoning (for my personal taste) but the food was absolutely delicious. If I’m in the area again I’m sure we’ll stop through again.

   What a disappointment. When we arrived I asked to move one table (the Resturant was 60% capacity and plenty of tables - plus I did now want to sit next the bathroom). The hostess, while accommodating did so with an attitude. Next, after ordering the waitress brought out drinks and while every table was served bread, we had to ask - and when it was served, we got a flimsy roll. This is the best part, when the ny strip steak was served, the kitchen had actually cut through the steak to see if it was done. SMH. What kitchen doesn’t have a meat thermometer? When I told this to my waitress she didn’t know what to say other than sorry. One would think they would replace the steak or take it off the tab. The meat was ruined and fairly mediocre. The crab dip was decent but not great. Price was $60 per person. I would have been better off at Scossa or out of the fire.

    Hunters Tavern is the best place in Easton for food, friends and fun!!! We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere along with the knowledgeable and personable staff. If we are in Easton and are hungry, thirsty or just want to relax our first and only choice is and will always be Hunters Tavern.

    The waiter was the same I had the evening before, so he was much friendlier (and less busy). The salmon eggs Benedict was good, except that the sauce had too much vinegar. I know because I had the same thing Labor Day weekend at the jazz fest, and the SEB was much better. Your coffee is mediocre at best.

    The cream of crab soup was to die for. The blackened diver scallops were huge and excellent. The garlic mashed potatos were also very good, but alas, I was too full to finish them. The waiter was good, but too business-like. luckily He also served me breakfast the next day and was much friendlier (and less busy).

    Great historic building provides a beautiful ambiance. My favorites on the menu are the snapping turtle soup and Rick's Reubens, made with flash fried oysters. Everyone else in my party loved their meals as well, and the service was great!

    Of the 4 diners, everyone raved about their appetizers and desserts. Two were lukewarm about their entrees. It's not possible to pick winners every time. We still like the Hunter's Tavern and we'll be coming back.

    We are never disappointed when having a meal at Hunters Tavern. Dining here 2-3 times a year has become a tradition my wife and I have enjoyed since 2012. The food, service and ambience are among the best in Delmarva. If you are staying in Easton, a visit to Hunter’s Tavern is a must!

    The wait staff was polite and helpful! We really enjoyed them. The food was perfect! I am gluten free and there are so many wonderful options that it was hard to choose! We enjoy our early family Christmas dinner there every year.

    The Tidewater Inn provided us with a third, or maybe it's a 4th, wonderful meal of 2022. All 4 diners had great food, and I appreciated a number of gluten free entrees. I had cream of crab soup as an appetizer, then duck as the main course. One daughter had crab cakes and the other had meat loaf and my wife had mussels, so it was an eclectic selection. When it got to be time for dessert, while we had really had enough, no one could say no. I was disappointed that my favorite flourless fudge cake wasn't available that day but I ordered something else. To my astonishment, the waitress went beyond the call of duty and found a piece of the favorite cake and delivered it instead of what I ordered. We waddled out of the room satisfied.

    The Oysters Rockefeller were sweet & very tasty. Service by Cheyenne was excellent. Had Haddock Piccata for my main course & my wife had the Shepard’s Pie. Both were excellent! Portions were more than ample. Only complaint was the vents on the air conditioner which made the place drafty. Would go back in a heartbeat!

    Food took far too long to be served and our server was MIA. We had to ask another server to see what happened to our dinner. We noted on our reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary, but it was never mentioned.

    As always, the food and service at the Hunters' Tavern at the Tidewater Inn was superb. Our server, Dee, was outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu items and timely. We had the Halibut special, the Rockfish special, and the Crabcake, along with appetizers and everything was fabulous!
