At Gran Gusto, we pride ourselves on the best quality for a great price.

We are a completely in-house production, starting with fresh, basic ingredients in order to create homemade bread to desert.

Over 80% of our products come from Italy one time a week such as, olive oil, flour, truffles, specialty cheeses, bufala mozzarella for the Neapolitan-style pizza, ice cream and etc.

We were in Boston to row at Head of the Charles and were lucky enough to have found this restaurant. The small plates are fabulous. Skip the entrees and share as many small plates as you can consume!

I attended a function in the back dining area less than a month ago. The service and good was excellent. We went for dinner for our friends birthday. The service was fine but y try he food and it’s preparation left much to be desired. My risotto arrived dry and cold. And was returned. The arancini was delicious, as well as the calamari. The two cheese wheel pasta dishes, despite requesting that the dish be prepared table side, arrived plated. They were returned and were reluctantly prepared at our table by one of the chefs. Both dishes were cold and not prepared properly. One was returned to the kitchen for re-preparation. It was still not perfect and it was ashame. Our diner with the lasagna enjoyed every morsel as it was delivered hot and plentiful. The chocolate cake with gelato was just ok and somewhat dry to taste. 3 cup a chinos were presented hot and attractively dressed. I ordered no replacement for the risotto. And it was removed from the bill. We were disappointed at best and I am not certain I could recommend this restaurant for anything except the appetizers and the pizza which on a previous visit was very good.

Luigi was not there last night, but her daughter (name?) made us great cocktails!!! The pizza was excellent, so were the other things we ordered: Arctic Char, salume e formaggio, and the grilled squid!!! It is always a lovely dining experience!
