This time, eggs were cold, potatoes were overdone and rock hard, bacon was missing and service was slow even though the dining room only had two other tables. Hard to believe they could screw up a simple breakfast of bacon and eggs.

I decided to take my wife for Mother's day. We had not been to the Golden Mast for probably 35 years. It has a very comfortable feel, quality food and very nice waitstaff people. It was a bit pricey (slightly more than I had anticipated... but I am a cheap bast**d). However, that being said, I would go back there again in a heartbeat. The buffet (I was told) is similar, but not the same, as the mother's day brunch. The food selection was excellent..Lamb, Prime Rib, Salmon, Chicken, the green beans and carrot balls were Great. It overall was an excellent experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed brunch here! Nice venue on the water; we were seated next to window with a great view of the lake. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the full brunch…a bit pricey but well worth it. Rather than a buffet, your server brings a sampling of all the courses to your table.. family style. It was twice as much as we could eat and all delish. Additionally there was a pasta station, waffle station, omelette station and a dessert bar. A glass of champagne, juice and coffee all included!

We had the duck and a filet and both were excellent. Salads that come with the dinner were very good with a lot of different ingredients. Happy hour is nice in this day and age with drink prices where they are at supper clubs now. George is the absolute best bartender yet very professional and polite. Second time we were at The Golden Mast in a month and both times were excellent. Going back on My 24th for my birthday. We live in East Troy which is quite a ride but well worth it.

We went for Sunday brunch. The restaurant was not crowded which surprised us. They brunch was supposed to be part family style and part omelette/pasta station and dessert table. Drinks were served and then we waited for a LONG time for a family style tray of baked goods. Then, some of our party went to the omelette/pasta station. The chefs there were quick and the food was good. About 45 minutes later, a tray of bacon, sausage and cold eggs was served. needles to say, the guests who did not get omelettes we starving by now. The dessert table was not appetizing but some who got the banana dessert said it was good. We had not been here for lunch is a couple of years. The brunch was good then, but not now.

My wife of 35 years passed away April 12th and for the last 32 years we have been coming to Golden Mast on April 16th to celebrate our anniversary. I wanted to bring my son and his girlfriend (future daughter in law) to experience the food and ambiance that my wife and I have for all these years and they loved it. My wife and I both enjoyed an excellent breakfast overlooking Lake Okauchee on our 26th Wedding anniversary. Our waiter, Stefan, spoke fluent German and was attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a glass of champagne, orange juice, plus coffee. Waiter brought out small bagels and lox, small pastries to enjoy prior to our huge breakfast meals of seafood omelet and eggs with baked and special Weisgerber's sausages along with their unique fried potatoes. As a special anniversary surprise, our waiter brought us a strawberry schaumtorte we both shared. When we were finished dining, Stefan packaged up our leftovers, which we enjoyed at home the next day. A great, unique experience dining in one of the finest German restaurants in Wisconsin. Excellent value, too.

Our first visit to this classic and well known Wisconsin on-the-water restaurant. We arrived a bit early. It was suggested a wait in the bar. Unbeknownst to us it was Happy Hour!!! Yeah! After 20 min, we were called and led to a lovely two top against the window - fabulous view of the lake and all the early boaters out on the water. Options were great for apps and meal. Wine list, though small was well populated with a few gems. Dessert - make sure you save room for the Scham Tort! We hope to be back soon.

We were there at 5pm on a weekday. We were seated at the window , a lovely view. We were served by Nana, knowledgeable and friendly. Food was fabulous, I had the schnitzel and my husband had the rouladen, both cooked just right with good presentations. Would definitely go back!!

Went for Easter brunch. Was nice. Not sure if it was worth the extra $20 per person for the holiday. Some of the foods were cold but it was fun and lots of options. Disappointed they stopped bringing out cream brûlée as we were hoping to have it for dessert. Will definitely go back there to eat

Golden Mast ambience hasn't changed in quite a while, which is comforting to many patrons. However, the menu also seems behind the times. If one is gong for a typical surf and or turf meal you will probably be happy, but if you have someone in your party that wants something different the alternative options are a little disappointing.
