Gianni's at the Former Versace Mansion
Lunch s served 7 days a week, from 12pm to 4:00pm The price for a three course lunch is $29, plus tax and service fee Dinner is served 7 days a week, from 6pm to 12am.
The ambience is very nice. The servers were inappropriately rude. When we attempted to take a selfie by the pool when there were no-one in the pool, he ran and stopped us which was quite embarrassing. There is a nicer way of saying things.
It was my birthday and I told them that. Never acknowledged it which is whatever but this place has gone down hill over the past few years. It used to be a must do every time I was in town and I always recommended to people. Now I would say over priced for food quality, understaffed with waiters (plenty of hostess’ though) and overall vibe has changed. They now have tables everywhere they can stick a table, which I get it coming from a business perspective but not if adding more tables sacrifices quality. You pay to eat at the mansion for sure now. Different then even a year ago...sad.
It’s was perfect for our anniversary!! ;-) ! When you’re outside you cannot imagine how beautiful the building is inside! It was worth it! You can take really nice pictures ... from the begging to the end of your visit. There are different dinning areas... go straight (or ask) for the patio! You’ll get Crazy! We booked at 7pm so we could see the place in the daytime and when it got dark! Food: I ordered tuna poke and a lobster salad (starters because I don’t usually eat a lot for dinner). My husband ordered a bone in Branzino (with the head!) cooked in the oven! Amazingly delicious! Drinks: rum punch and a margarita! The waitress was very helpful and polite! Music also... astonishing ...! We paid about $175 (tip included). I highly recommend the experience! Thank you for the gorgeous night! We’ll come back soon!
A really great restaurant with supreme service. I would probably recommend laying off the salt on some of the dishes. But overall very good food
Fantastic patio table by the pool thanks to the captain, Gabriel. He makes the experience memorable with his special attention.
Gianni’s is an experience. Unfortunately we were only able to dine there because of the sad demise of Versace - whom we all said a quick silent prayer to as it seemed we were invading hallowed ground. That said, it is a spectacular setting to dine in - especially if you are in the gorgeous pool area. Definitely request that space. The service was perfect - impeccable. The negatives were the food was just average. My salmon was average and the two pastas ordered were average as well. We had the special dessert which was outstanding. The food doesn’t match the $ outlay. Perhaps because it was during Spring Break, there were an inordinate amount groups of young women coming posing at pool edge taking selfies all night. Entertaining but a bit annoying after a while. Not sure if it’s the norm although the restaurant obviously has the fascinating history to go with it. After dinner, we were able to walk around the place. Very interesting. It’s definately worth the visit.
Absolutely gorgeous. Food was amazing and an amazing experience.
The menu was changes ( not the same one as in your site ) staff quite rude and not aware of clients
A total tourist trap. A beautiful setting, but everything else was lousy. Didn’t get seated until 45 minutes past reservation, despite empty tables. Food was brought to table almost immediately after finishing appetizer. Branzinno was dry and cold. Pasta was a pile of mush.
Just the visit is a special occasion!
Rico y muy romantico
Beautiful place. Perfect for a date night. 24k gold margerita drink - something to try!
Everything was outstanding. Our waiter was exceptional. The food was delicious. The triple chocolate dessert was unbelievable.
The experience was absolutely wonderful and the service was exceptional! The audience and dessert were my favorite part!
Beyond our expectations! Beautiful space, incredible food and the best server (Ernesto)!
This is a MUST TO from Miami beach, special place & special food
Amazing! Beautiful scenery and a place to remember. We went for lunch, which was a pretty good deal (3 courses for $30). Overall, I would definitely go for the experience!
AMAZING place - incredible
Great food in wonderful location, well worth a special visit
amazing place !!!!!!!! would 100 percent recommend this place !!!!!!!
Super fun experience and the food was fantastic!! Grilled octopus for lunch was amazing!
Amazing setting yet dire food.
Only go here to tick it off your to do list.
DO NOT go here for the overpriced food!!!
Must go, must go, must go! One of the most special places we've ever been to.
Food is just horrible. What a shame for this kind of place
Maybe dine their once for the uniqueness of the experience.
The food took over an hour to arrive. Presentation was lacking, one entree was sent back. The ambience is always beautiful but I was extremely disappointed. My second visit and for the $ you expect a little more attention
We went during their lunch hours. For $29 you are given an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. They do offer ”upgraded” options for an additional $10. The drink menu was way too expensive ranges from $20-$30 a drink. But the rich history and the stunning architecture was breathtaking.
Food was terrible, and the host and waiters was sooo rude. Waiter came once to check on us . They put us on a table that was rained on, with rain on our plates and just looked at us trying to sit on the other side of table to keep out of rain. It took them 35 mins looking and not saying anything . I finally asked for a different table. Took 40 mins waiting for that one . The people was so rude.
Our dining experience was even better than expected. I look forward to coming back when in Miami.
The dinner to Gianni’s was an experience rather than a dinner. Eating in that atmosfere was simply wonderful surrender by history of Versace.
Amazing dinner for my birthday celebration
Amazing atmosphere to be in and incredible food and service!
This is going to be a mixed review. It's only getting a 2 because the waiter and manager were nice and the food was good. I went at lunch around 3:30. My reservation was at 3:30 but since Ocean Drive and the block going towards Ocean drive we're closed it was impossible to get there by car and had to get out at Washington Ave and walk. Street closer was due to spring break. When I arrive a lady at the front gave me a "what do you want look", I explained I had reservations at 3:30 but I'm late due to the roads being closed. Another lady approached before I was able to check in at the hostess and told me the kitchen was closed! A group of four arrived after me and said they had reservations and was promptly seated. As I had to wait about 10 minutes for them to clean a table (the place was empty in the court yard btw). After my meal my friend and I went by the pool to take a couple of pictures and we politely asked staff members if they am take a picture and was told "NO". At this point I had gotten upset with the rude staff and asked for a manager and explained my dissatisfaction of the staff. He was very polite and took several pictures of my friend and I and made us feel a bit better about the experience. Inside is nice but they have a serious staff attitude problem which is going to deter me from every coming again. My birthday was completely ruined. I could never suggest this place to any family or friends that come in town when they visit me.
Gorgeous restaurant! However, service was terrible. And the food was disappointing. Ordered lobster, completely overcooked. Our waiter was not attentive to our needs. And i have to say how excruciating the silence was as we walked in and and throughtout dinner..
Amazing! Food was great, service superb, and the atmosphere was over the top gorgeous. I was immediately transported to Italy! I highly recommend this experience.
We had a 8pm reservation that we made 3 months ago. That apparently doesn’t get you a seat on the patio near the pool. They wanted to put us in a room off to the side that we would have been the only people in. We waited 60 minutes before finally being seated. Both the choices we wanted for dinner were sold out so we had to order our third and fourth choices.
5 / 5 Beautiful space - 2 / 5 for food
Amazing experience. Great dinner and ambiance!
A beautiful and iconic setting.
The staff were very friendly and conscientious, checking our needs regularly.
The food was fabulous and the portion sizes generous. The menu was varied so something for everyone.
A truly lovely evening and perfect for a special occasion
What a wonderful treat! Food was good - pricey, but tasty. The ambiance cannot be beat. Recent reviews have slammed the service but we found everyone we interacted with was helpful and very nice.
Amazing! Food and service is excellent!
The staff is elitist and condescending. They sat us in the corner upstairs despite there being several tables open by the pool area. The mansion itself was beautiful, but the food was mediocre and the servers made us feel as though we weren’t supposed to be there. Definitely check it out and have a drink, but don’t dine here unless you’re wearing upscale designer clothing and are complete euro trash.
