We took my elderly uncle and aunt visiting SoCal. The view is the reason I chose this restaurant. Both the food and service is good, but the view of the ocean while dining is what makes this restaurant exceptional. I'd recommend this restaurant highly for impressing out of town guests who are not used to dining by the ocean. My uncle and aunt both loved it so very much!

Great food and ambiance. Geoffreys made our anniversary celebration special and romantic. Parking was made simple by the valet, and our table server, Ray, was very attentive, and gave us excellent recommendations from the menu. There were umbrellas to shade us when needed, and later, heat lamps to warm us as the evening grew cooler. We never felt rushed, and had plenty of time to relax and enjoy each others company. We will definitely return for another fine evening of dining. Oh, and did I mention that the sunset over the ocean was magnificent!

Such an amazing experience. It was my girlfriends birthday and i requested a nice table with the ocean view and they kindly gave it to us. Our server, William, was hilarious, friendly, and accommodated us well. He even sang happy birthday for my girlfriend with another server. The food was also out of this world -- the brie appetizer is to die for. This spot is just so relaxing and half the restaurant is outside overlooking the beach. 10/10.

Great place with a stunning ambiance. I reserved a table for a birthday. Maximum of 2 hours table time and the staff will low key remind you when your time is almost up. But yeah, overall its a nice place to have brunch. Nothing extra special even if you book a reservation for a birthday so don’t expect much. We just enjoyed the ocean view and the dolphins giving a show from afar. ♥️

Two days before Thanksgiving the restaurant called to confirm our reservation. Staff threatened to cancel the reservation--which I had made weeks before--if I didn't call back to confirm by 8pm. When we arrived on Thanksgiving evening, front staff gave me a buzzer to alert me when our table would be ready. We waited 40 minutes for our table. When I asked front staff how much longer the wait for a reserved table, I was told that they had been calling my name and I hadn't responded. In other words, the wait was my fault. Yet, I had the vibrating buzzer in my pocket, and my family and I had stood directly in front of the check-in desk as we waited. The buzzer never vibrated, and my name had never been called, yet front staff insisted. At that point, suddenly a "very special" table became available. The view was indeed lovely. The Thanksgiving menu--except for the filet mignon and, later, the mint tea--was flavourless and disappointing. Even the desserts were lacklustre. The prix fixe cost $92 per person. Menu was utterly overpriced and a waste of money. Service was rushed. Thankfully there was the ocean--Geoffrey's main attraction.

Honestly, you're paying for the ambience. The food was poor to average, in my opinion. The food is nowhere near worth the price of the fixed cost for the Thanksgiving meal. Very disappointed. My main meal was ok. The appetizer and the dessert were both unappetizing and I wouldn't frankly order any of it again if given the chance.

My daughter's bill was over $400. which is ridiculous for lunch. Very misleading when you advertise for Experience summary 2 x Thanksgiving $184.00. I realize they each had two drinks, but it was more than DOUBLE the price you had advertised. So disappointed. I know they enjoyed, but my daughter was in tears when she told me the actual charge.

Bummed about the service. I’ve always enjoyed popping in for a casual lunch. I was always treated with kindness and the older veteran servers went out of their way to accommodate. Immediate family accompanied me this time and our server was inattentive, upselling and wouldn’t entertain or bother asking the kitchen to make a simple ask for the kids. The corn chowder and the sea bass needed salt. The burger and fries were fantastic. I used to get the calamari and the kids were looking forward to that item which sadly isn’t on the menu anymore.

The food was just ok compared to other restaurants of that caliber. We ordered the NY steak, Branzino, watermelon salad and tuna tartare. I was underwhelmed by them all. The ambiance, the views are spectacular. Service was ok. My steak wasn’t the correct temp. I ordered medium rare plus. It came rare plus. Had to send back. Then they told me “actually the kitchen doesn’t do plus temperatures. The time to tell me that would have been when I originally ordered it. I would’ve just ordered medium. I made the reservation for my husband’s birthday. The hostess kindly greeted him with a HAPPY BIRTHDAY , but the server wasn’t aware at all. At most restaurants of that Calebra, the hostess makes the server aware before they approach the table. Also, weird, at the end of the meal it seemed like they weren’t going to present him with anything for his birthday. I reminded a busser that it was his birthday because the server hadn’t come back. The lag time was very awkward . Finally he came out with a small scoop of ice cream with a candle. That was unlike other restaurants of that caliber too. So the only thing I left impressed with was the view which is absolutely stunning.

Normally, we would give this restaurant an excellent rating. Last night was the second time in 6 months we have been there where the service and food were poor, compared to what we are used to from this great restaurant. Waited 15 minutes after being seated … to get menus and a wait staff to even acknowledge us, this was after I had to get up and go find someone. Two of the 3 main dishes we ordered came out wrong 1. Steak ordered medium… came out almost raw 2. Paella was ordered without clams and oysters … still came with it… they had to redo both orders … no one is checking the kitchen vs. the order. The waiter we ended up with was very nice and they did give us a discount for the mistakes- but, please get this better … we don’t want a discount, we want our experience to be good, like it used to be. I usually wouldn’t have written this review, but this is the second disappointing experience we have had here … and we normally love this place. Please management, correct the items and you will continue to have a very loyal client. Thank you.

Very nice place, very nice setting and amazing food. I had requested a reservation 2 months prior for my engagement day, and was hoping we would maybe get a Lil dessert for our big day but didn't. I also seen that people got food before us and they just put us in. Corner and ants kept crawling on us during dinner. Besides that we just tried to enjoy the night . Would go again just hoping to be more catered too.

It was my daughter’s birthday and they congratulated her upon entering but did nothing at the table. The wait staff was loud and pushy and the bus boy was aggressively taking plates and slamming them together over our heads. I’ve been here a number of times. This was a major disappointment.

I surprisingly had a very poor experience at Geoffrey’s when I came in with my friends this last weekend, as I have always come into this establishment my entire life. I had a reservation for 5 people where we all had gotten seated with no troubles. We began to order drinks and appetizers when I had a friend unexpectedly come so we added an additional chair to our table. I told our server that I added this additional chair and he had told me that was not allowed and that it was not “comfortable” for us. I explained to him that it was plenty comfortable and he explained that we would have to move to the bar as a result of this. The manager came out and said that we were actually fine sitting there and to not worry about anything. A few minutes later the server comes back out and says this is not allowed and that we would have to move, having already began eating and drinking. This truly did shock me as I have always taken Geoffrey’s as a fine establishment. As a result of this we promptly just asked for the check and left. It’s sad to see that there was such confusion between the staff on what to do in this minor case, I hope they can settle this internally for the next set of guests that run into this issue, as I sadly will not be returning here.
