Opened in 1980, Garibaldi is an anchor and landmark in Savannah dining. Forty-three years later, we are still innovating and evolving! Garibaldi offers fresh local seafood, shellfish, wonderful steaks and chops in a warm sophisticated environment with gracious and professional service. Garibaldi also features specially crafted cocktails and an extensive wine list. We are opened Tuesday - Saturday opening at 5:00 p.m.. Our last reservations are at 9:30, we do not close until later after everyone has enjoyed their dining experience. We hope to see you soon.

Located in the heart of Savannah"s historic City Market, Garibaldi is housed in the 1871 Germanian Fire House. Built in classic Paladdian architecture, the building is a beautiful presence in the market area. In the fashion of the era, the firehouses were commonly community meeting places. Thus, the Germanian Society erected a Grand Ballroom on the second floor of the building. With sixteen foot ceilings, fourteen foot arched windows and vintage iron chandeliers, it is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Savannah, seating 120 and complete with its own private bar. The main floor is a beautiful Victorian room with lavish gilt mirrors, original pressed tin ceiling, romantically illuminated with whimsical chandeliers. Garibaldi offers a variety of menus, and specializes in customizing menus to your specific needs. Gracious service and outstanding food is our highest goal and has helped us earn the Zagat Award of Distinction once again for 2011/12.

We were fortunate to score a table upstairs by the window. Poached pear salad was delicious, as was the lamb appetizer. Craft cocktails were tasty and Jessica was very attentive.

My husband and I went here for a late dinner and it was fantastic. The service was excellent, as was the food. I was particularly happy to discover they had NA beer, since I’m a non-drinker. The portions are huge, so we split the swordfish with crab risotto and most of the other entrees looked like we’d get four meals out of them, so go hungry! We would definitely return.

The entire dining experience was exquisite! We had an amazing waiter who was attentive and knew just when to stop by to assist us. The food was delicious and the after diner expresso martinis were just the right way to round out the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was very romantic and elegantly decorated, which suited us perfectly for our weekend in Savannah! We will definitely come back next time we are in town.

An old-school kind of place with good food and a very nice setting. Service was great, and the value was very high. Decent, well-priced wines by the glass, which is nice. We enjoyed the meal, although not quite at the “foodie” level — all in all, a very pleasant evening.

We went early on a Thursday night. This place has a beautiful ambiance, perfect for a special occasion. We had cocktails at the bar before we were seated. The cocktails were made perfectly, and we had a nice chat with the bartenders. We were seated in one of the booths. We shared the wedge salad. We really like it. I ordered the scallops which were very good. My husband ordered the pork chop special. It was delicious, juicy and tender. The demi glaze sauce made it outstanding. We appreciated our server, Bobby, who was just attentive enough. We both enjoyed our dinners and would definitely come back again.

Fantastic food and location! Used to be a firehouse so just adds to the thrill of eating in Savannah. The scallops were delicious but honestly everything was so good. Server was friendly and helpful! A bit pricey but worth it - out of town guests loved it!!

We visited Savannah and chose Garibaldi to have our 12 year anniversary dinner. Dinner was great! Wine was good. I ordered the duck my wife had pasta she enjoyed her food also. The best part were the raw oysters! Amazing!!! Desert was exceptionally tasty also. Overall a great experience!!

Elegant but not stuffy. Classical ambience. Thomas, our server, was knowledgeable, attentive and engaging. Everyone in our party of four loved their meal. We were a little bummed not to be able to get into the Old Pink House, but this, it’s sister restaurant, proved perfect for us.

We ate upstairs. Our waitress was nice but very slow. Not a problem we weren’t in a hurry. The noise level was a real problem. It was hard to hear the person sitting right next to me. The food was very good. I would eat downstairs if I go back.

This was an amazing choice. I'm so glad that I went with this restaurant after trying to discover the best upscale yet elegant place to eat in Savannah. The waiter Trayvon and the menu was top notch. I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much Garibaldi for the experience.

What a wonderful experience. We attempted to get into the Olde Pink House but that was impossible without a reservation. We searched Open Table for other options and discovered that Garibaldi was under the same company. We were able to get a reservation and upon arrival we’re seated immediately. Bobby our waiter was fantastic. The food was amazing. Definitely will return when in Savannah.

As out of town guests: the food was delicious; the surroundings - lovely; the service - friendly but neglectful (dishes not cleared, server not around); upstairs dining - beautiful but quite noisy. Still, maybe just our server this time?? All said, we would come again… and we will.
